Things did not go they way Natalia planned. She thoughts after the whole fiasco they would go back to Castiel, but for her protection he wanted her to stay with the Winchesters.
What complete bullshit.
He did say it would help him a lot, which was the only reason she stayed. When the road trip was over, all three of them made it to the Bunker.
The Bunker was tiny on the outside and bigger on the inside, much like a TARDIS. It was quite extraordinary to be there and to experience it, but Natalia was too worried to care. Her mind was only focused on Castiel, and how she should not be here right now.
So when the brothers went to bed Talia stayed in the library to read the books. Picking one at random, she sat down in a chair and began to read.
The words seems to flow out of the pages as the Leviathan read. The old, yellowing pages had other hands hold them before, long ago. These stories would help so many people, save so many lives. These 26 letters could create an infinite amount of information and knowledge, and only a very few had access to the home of it. As she flipped each page, the pleasant aroma of a book met her senses. It calmed her down, made her feel at home almost. It was peaceful, to be lost in a world where the only problems where the characters and not yours. This was her only chance that Natalia felt like she could be calm and not have a single worry in the world. The minutes flew by and time was irrelevant as she read, but of course, all good things must come to an end.
Dean came into the Library noisily a few hours later. The Leviathan did not realize he was there until he slammed his duffel bag down, full of weapons. Her head shot up, not prepared for it.
"Dean?" she questioned. Her eyes took a few minutes to focus, she could only see the outline of him.
He was loading a gun as he replied. "We're leaving for our next case."
With a sigh, the Woman closed the book and stared at its cover. Dean was sliding a knife into his big when Sam finally showed up.
"What's up?" Sam asked.
"I called Cas."
Natalia shot Dean a look. "When?"
Dean ignored her and continued talking. "He said there's something going down in Missouri.
"If Castiel asked for help, then we must leave at once," Natalia said, standing up.
Sam glanced at her weirdly but spoke to Dean. "What kind of something?"
"He said he couldn't talk about it over the phone."
"Why?" Sam and Talia said at the same time.
Dean stopped loading his bag for a second, stared at the two, and then kept packing. "Because he's a weird guy, okay? He's a weird, dorky, little guy. But he happens to have an army of Angels behind him, and, even though I hate to say it, if we're gonna take a shot at Metatron, they might be useful."
The Woman glared at Dean. "Hey! Don't be so rude to Cas. He's trying the best he can."
"Shut your mouth, lover girl."
Talia bared her sharp teeth at him and hissed with her serpent tongue. "Fight me you fucker."
Sam rolled his eyes and questioned Dean about bringing the First Blade. It would most likely end up causing tragedy. After arguing for a few minutes, Dean set it down.
"No problem."
"Thank you."
