_______________________________It was Hannah who told Castiel.
He was in his office, minding his own business when Hannah knocked on his door. He let her in, and the Seraph immediately noticed the distressed look on her face. Concerned, he walked up to her and tilted his head slightly.
"Hannah, what is it?"
Said Angel looked at the floor nervously before looking at her Commander. She cleared her throat and said, "When Adeline was doing some spy work, she caught someone."
Castiel nodded, urging her to continue. Why must she keep him in suspense?
Hannah sighed and stared at her jacket."The being Adeline caught was not human, Angel, or Demon," she continued and then paused, making the Commander look at her with an annoyed look. The Angel sighed again and looked at him nervously.
"The being was a Female Leviathan."
As soon as the words left her mouth, Castiel was frozen in shock. The world around him did not seem to matter nor did life itself. There was only one thing on his mind, and it was a certain Leviathan that had eyes the color of grass after a storm. Hair that was dark as a strong smelling substance called 'coffee'. A face more beautiful than any galaxy or Nebula out there. A smile that could make him feel whole again, and a soul that was brighter and more pure than anything out there.
Natalia
He knew it could not be some regular Leviathan, it had to be Natalia, his friend. His ally. His happiness. Her. He had to see it for himself.
A sudden wave of joy swelled the Commander as his face bore a smile. "Take me to her." With a reluctant nod, Hannah led him out of the room and straight toward the Leviathan.
Even though he was now an Angel, with stolen Grace, he could feel the excitement coursing through his veins. He missed his Leviathan so much, especially after the last time he saw her. Seeing her face as she tried to save him, then Talia's face as the sword went right through her. At that moment his whole world shattered.
At that moment, the Seraph forgot about Dean and everything else. His focus was on Natalia, her slowing dying as he was taken away from his happiness. He thought that would be the last time he would see her forever. Cas was glad he was wrong.
She risked his life for him, and he was willing to do the same for her at any second of the day, always.
When they approached the door, Cas breathed deeply, and opened the only object that separated them.
A woman was at the other side of the room, her back to him. Handcuffs bound her slender hands together, a chain around her neck was also there, as well as a cloth that was most likely around her mouth at one point. She seemed to be trying to get the chains off, but froze when the door opened. Castiel could feel her soul, his Natalia. Slowly, the Leviathan turned around.
