Settled Down

Where do I even start with YN? So beautiful, so smart, so head-strong, so funny, so cute. She's the total package. She was back when we were in college and now she still is.

I remember going to parties with her and getting too drunk to remember how we got back to her dorm room.

Or arguing and having to show up to her dorm to apologize. She would answer the door in a large t-shirt, black leggings, her cute little feet always had a fresh pedicure, her hair would be up in a ponytail and her glasses would be on her face only when she was in her dorm doing her homework.

This girl has always been an adorable 10 with a bit of a wild side.

Those days have all come to an end now, though. I had to man up.

I graduated college first. Got my
Business major and got a job in Maryland.

I remember the day I knew I had to grow up...

*Flashback*
YN-Diggy! I'm pregnant. She whispered to me as she laid in my arms one night as we cuddled in her small bed in her dorm room.

Diggy-*Clears his throat* H-huh? I choked on nervousness.

YN leaned up in the bed and looked at me while holding my hand.

YN-I said I'm pregnant. She bit the corner of her bottom lip waiting for my answer and looking into my eyes.

Diggy-O-o-Ohhh. T-that's great baby girl. This is gonna be great. I pulled her into a tight hug and rubbed my big hand up and down her back as she wrapped her arms around my neck and squeezed me tightly.

YN-I knew you'd be happy. *Pecked a kiss on my neck* I love you.

Music to my ears.

Diggy-*Smiles to himself* I love you too. I reached my hand to her stomach and rubbed a small circle...

*Present day*

I parked my car in the garage and walked into the house.

Mya-DADDY! She yelled as she ran up to me and hugged my leg.

Diggy-Heyyyy stinky! I said as I picked up me and YN's 3 year old daughter and kissed her cheek.

Mya-I missed you! She said while smiling at me and looking at me with joy in her big brown eyes.

Diggy-*chuckles* not more than I missed you. I said while attacking her whole body with kisses.

I walked into the kitchen and saw YN standing up stirring something in a pot.

Diggy-It smells good baby. I said to get her attention.

YN halfway turned around and smiled at me. I saw she was on the phone.

I sat Mya down and she ran to the living room to continue watching cartoons.

I walked up behind YN and began dancing behind her, putting all my junk up on her butt.

Diggy-*Puts his arms up in the air and snaps his fingers while still dancing* Here go my baby mama, my baby mama. I sang in a nonchalant tone.

YN stuck her tongue out and began to slightly twerk on me.
I laughed and backed away from her

YN-Okay! Bye mom.
Love you too. She hung up the phone and stood up on her tippy toes signaling me to give her a kiss.

Diggy-*Pecks your lips* Looking good baby. I smiled at her.

YN rubbed her big pregnant belly and smiled.

YN-How was work Mr.Simmons? She asked while stirring noodles in a pot.

Diggy-It was good, you know. Doing thangsss. How's my girls? I asked while quickly leaning down and pecking a kiss on YN's round stomach.

YN-Good! She should be ready any day now.  Dinners ready. She said while turning off the stove.

Diggy-Mya come wash your hands with me! I said as my daughter ran over to me and I picked her up.

I carried her up the stairs and took her into me and YN's bathroom.

I stood her on the counter as I washed my hands as she helped me take off my work shirt.

Mya-Arms up daddy! She said while holding my shirt up.

Diggy-*Flicked water in her face and then lifted his arms up*

Mya went ecstatic with laughter as she slid up my shirt and then sniffed it.

Mya-Smells daddyish.

I laughed.

I carried my daughter back downstairs and saw YN waddling to the counter with her hand on her back.

Diggy-Here lemme help you ma. I said while putting Mya down.

Mya-Daddy help me too! She pouted.

I chuckled and pulled YN's chair out for her and helped her sit down.

I picked Mya up and sat her in my lap.

We ate, laughed, and enjoyed the food YN Made.
After that Mya insisted that we play a game of hungry hippo as a family.

Mya-MOMMY ITS YOUR GO! She yelled excitedly because she wa winning.

YN-Inside voices Baby girl. YN chuckled and played her round.

Mya-OHHH! YOUR STILL LOSING ! DADDY YOUR GO!

I laughed and played my go.

YN yawned and laid her head in my lap.

Diggy-You tired baby? I asked as I stroked her cheek with my thumb and Mya went crazy as I lost my round.

YN nodded her head yes while rubbing her stomach.

I called the game quits so YN could get some rest.

YN put Mya to bed while I went to my closet to lay out my clothes for work the next day.

YN kissed my back gently and wrapped her arms around my waist.

YN-I wish you could just stay home with me until I have this baby. She mumbled against my skin.

Diggy-Me too baby. I said while turning around and hugging her.

YN backed away and let me answer an e-mail on my phone.

I saw her pick her cell phone up and snap a Picture of me.

I chuckled.

Diggy-No flash photography. I mumbled.

YN-Shut the hell up! Your not even cute! She laughed and walked out of the closet.

Damn! I'm so in love with this woman. So beautiful.

The moral of the story is, settling down isn't such a bad thing fellas. You get the queen, the princesses (kids) that come with it, and it's all love.
