Single Father

It was like a nightmare come true.

YN pushed with all the energy she had and like god granted us a gift there was my baby girl.

Head full of curly hair and unfortunately a nose just like daddy! Mommy's nose would have been much better

YN passed away during afterbirth. Her body just couldn't handle the shock of all that had just went on.

Giving birth is so... "ew" when you're young but as a young man watching my fiancé push that baby out that we made together... that's some shit to see!

That's some powerful stuff right there! All that screaming and moaning and crying and pain for a little mini you to come out of it is so... beautiful to think about.

It's been 3 years though, and I haven't even THOUGHT about moving on. YN was my soul mate. Who do you date after the love of your life?

"Danny, she looks just like you!"

I remember YN saying as she held our new baby girl and just cooed over how cute she was.

I looked at my girl and my baby and knew that if there wasn't an afterlife I was in heaven right then and there.

We named her Kelsey. Kelsey Nicole Simmons. It has a  cute little ring to it in my opinion.

Kelsey climbed into my bed and sat on my head.

Diggy-*Groans* What in the world...

she giggled.

Diggy-I don't remember...sleeping with a hat on! I said as I snatched her off my head and threw her into the air before catching her and hugging her tightly.

She laughed hysterically.

Kelsey- I couldn't sleep. She said while playing with my beard.

Diggy-*Smiles* So you came and sat on my head? I said while rubbing her little poked out belly.

Kelsey-Yes! She giggled and covered her face with her little hands.

She stood up and began to jump on the bed.

I couldn't help but stare at her from time to time.

She resembled me, don't get me wrong, but she was a spitting image of her mother at the same time.

Kelsey-DADDY!DADDY!DADDY! She yelled while she jumped all over my kind sized bed.

Diggy-Okay, okay enough jumping! I grabbed her and laid her next to me.

Kelsey-What time is it? She asked.

Diggy-It is...

I turned to look at the clock on my night stand.

7:30 AM.

Diggy-Early, very early.

Kelsey-Daddy can we get up now? The sun is up so we can get up too. She pouted.

Diggy-*Sighs* Daddy's so tired though, Kelsey.

Kelsey-Oh okay, okay daddy. W-we go sleep sleep for one, one more hour. Okay, daddy?

She made sure I knew what the deal was!

I laughed

Diggy-Okay, Kels. One more hour. I smiled.

Kelsey-Okay. Shhhh, shh go sleep sleep daddy. She rubbed my arm.

I smiled.

Diggy-Can I have a good night kiss, please? I puckered my lips.

Kelsey pecked my lips.

Diggy-MUAH. I said as she kissed me.

Kelsey-Daddy? She said as I started to doze back off.

Diggy-Yes baby.

Kelsey-I like it just me and you. I-I don't mind that mommy went bye-byes. She whispered while looking me in my eyes.

Diggy-*Kisses her forehead* I like it me and you too, sweetheart.

Kelsey giggled and slowly we dozed back off to sleep.

I know that everyday YN is guiding me on how to be a good father and is me and Kels guardian angel.

That's forever my baby, and no one will replace her.
