Chapter 4 : Your Not My Mom

The next day
I woke up to my head hurting because I cried myself to sleep last night i get up & go take some meds after that I do all my hygiene throw on some sweats & a tank top & go downstairs to eat
Me: good morning dad
Dad: good morning my little princess your just in time I thought I was going to have to leave without saying bye *he hugs me right & kisses me on my head*
Me: *hugs him back* bye dad love you
Dad: *grabs he keys & walks towards the door* love you more
He leaves & I cook some pancakes eggs & Bacon & watch tv my phone starts ringing I don't look at it I just pick it up
Me: hello
???? : wassup
Me: who is this
??? : don't know your own brother
Me : sorry hey tae I didn't look at the name I just answered
Tae: well anyways I was wondering if you wanna go with us to adventure landing
Me: sounds fun but I can't I have a 2.5 GPA I have work to do
Tae : o shit you really do how tf you go from a 4.0 to a 2.5 get to work sis
Me: *laughs* I am
Tae : bye love you

I finish my food & grabbed the lab top I email some of my teachers to get make up work they emailed them to me & I got to work it wasn't so hard once I figured out how to do it I would usually ask ray but... ya anyways after I got finished I fell asleep I woke up to a knock on the door I open it to see rays 12 year old sister (she's not his real sister she's like his God sister she's been living with them sense she was 10) when I tell you see loves me like I'm her real sister
Gabby : *hugs me* Shyyy
Me: hey sis wyd here
Gabby: didn't have nothing else to do so I walked over here nobody was at the park not even the boys
Me: awww well you came just in time I just finished up some work
Gabby: *scanning the mess table*I see
Me: *laughs*
Gabby: *hugs me* I been thinking
Me: yes
Gabby: your going to be a senior next year shy & your going to leave me ... you & rau aren't together so yout going to forget about me
Me: what no your the lil sister I never had I would never forget about you & I have so much to teach you... I can't miss your first day either I promise I won't forget about you
Gabby: *smiles* yay... can we go get ice cream
Me: did you tell your parents
Gabby :there not home
Me: your parents ain't never home
Gabby: duh that's why you were always over there
Me: *laughs* shut up let's go *grabs my keys*

We head to the ice cream shop down the street I must admit I love gabby like she was my own little sister her mom passed when she was 10 she was the only child and ray's mom was her mom's best friend she use to live in Paris but she came down here when her mom got sick

Me: yes
Gabby: my brother is stupid
Me: *laughs*
Gabby : breaking up with you what the hell
Me: *laughing* gg
Gabby: I'm just saying
She tells them what kind of ice cream she wants & I get the same kind when we get it I drive to the park we get out & sit on the benches
Gabby: now everybody wanna be outside
Tyler: how you get icecream gabby
gabby: shy
Tyler : how you gon buy her ice cream & not me

Tyler is ray's little brother he's 15

Gabby : because nobody was outside & i went to her house
Tyler : we was playing man hunt
Gabby : well you didnt tell me
Tyler : I see how it is ex sister in law
Me : *laughs* stop it you know you still got love for me
Tyler : w.e

Hes friends call him so he runs over there gabby gets done kisses me on my cheek & goes to play with the boys ... shes like a tomboy she like me shes more tomboy then i am though i finish my ice cream and walk to my car
Ray : hey princess
Me : shy
Ray : hey shy
Me : hey
Ray: where you going
Me: home I just took gg to get ice cream
Ray: ooo ok

I unlock my car door & get in rays still standing there so I roll down the window
Me: yes
Ray: nothing

I start my car & drive off when I get home there's a note tape to the door I get it & walk in the house

It reads

Hey Chris it's your ex wife I need you to meet me at the park tomorrow at 1 I know it's been a year & I'm just now saying something but I want to talk to you about shyleah

Really now she wants to talk to him about me I will go see her myself

Next day

I wake up around 11sum my dad is still sleep I get dressed in my blue sweats & a blue shirt to match & throw on some white shoes I put my hair in a pony tail by that time it's 12:30 I decide I would walk over there now because I can't wait any longer when I get there it's 12:33 I sit down on the benches & notice a family they look so happy they have a baby girl She looks to be about 1 the lady starts walking this way & I look away trying not to seem like I was staring I get on my phone & she walks right up to me
The lady : shy ???

I look up & it's my mom my hearts sinks
Me: it's shyleah to you
My mom: don't talk to me like that
Me: *laughs* I can talk to you how ever I want lady who are you anyway
My mom: shyleah eva brown
Me: don't ... ok I don't wanna hear your excuses on how you ran away & started a new family but can't even call & check on me
She was about to say something but the man she was with walked up
the man : hey sweetie... who's this
My mom : a friend of mines daughter

My heart stopped what did she just say

The man : nice to meet you
Me: ya mhmm *checks my phone* well look at the time... bye lady hope your life is great

With that I turn & walk home how could she she has a daughter & then doesn't claim me that bitch got me fucked up I go home & call jewel I tell her what happens & she flips out after our conversation I take a few pills & go to sleep

I woke up to voices in my room sounded like my parents
My dad: why would you do tht to her start & new family & don't talk to her
My Mom : well
My dad: you have nothing to say for yourself

I open my eyes to see my parents arguing me
Me: dad why is there a stranger in my room
My mom: shyleah I am your mother
Me: your really not my mom walked out a year ago who knows where she went
My mom: shy... can we talk about this
Me: my name to you is SHYLEAH not shy don't call me shy what are you doing here you wait a year to come back... now you wanna talk but you don't even claim me o don't you remember I'm your friends daughter so your not my mom when you see her tell her I hate her with every bone in my body

My mom had nothing to say she walked out & my dad followed her I heard the front door close & I started crying my dad wrapped his arms around me
Me: why would she do this
My dad: I don't know but we are doing fine without her we don't need her
Me: your right we don't

I fell asleep & he tucked me in & left
