Chapter 8

*Lou's point of view *

I pulled my already crumpled timetable out of my bag, I had music first.

" Lottie what have you got first" I said as we left home room.
"Music, I think. What about you ?" Lottie said as we made out way down the main stairs.
"Same" I said as we began to make our way to the music corridor.

We walked into the class to find it was half empty, which was actually a good thing.

Ashton was sat up the back with Luke ,Michael,Calum ,Kim and Stuart.

"Lou there is a seat here" Ashton shouted over to me.
The table was on big rectangular desk with meant we were a able to sit round it.

As we all huddled around the table the discussion of what classes we had started.

Scattered around the class was about six other pupils and we had the most laid back teacher ever who just let us play whatever.

Of course Lottie, Kim, Stuart and I picked the easy option of playing the tuned percussion thing (glockenspiel I think), just so we could sit and talk.
Ashton immediately went to the drums, which was predictable. I sat there in a daydream thinking about how different he was to what I expected, but I was interrupted my Stuart kicking my foot.
"So you and Ashton?" Stuart whispered
" nope" I denied.
"You sure about that Luke went and sat on that seat Ashton saved for you and Ashton tip him off of it. Then Luke kidded on saying ohhh are you saving that seat for your girlfriend which Ashton just ignored" -S
"He was probably just wanting to be nice and save me a seat it is no big deal" -L
"That's not what I think" Kim replied. Then we all just kind of laughed it off and went back to playing our instruments.

Finally the bell went and it was off to my next period, Science.
"Ready to go" Ashton said as we walked out of class.
"Ready as i'll ever be" I replied.
We then went on to talk about his band he even mentioned us coming to see a band practise. We had finally made it to science and the class was almost 2 times bigger than our music class I spotted Charlie and went over to sit with her and Ashton at a table of four. I noticed at the table behind Ashton were a group of guys he hangs about with sometimes. I hated every single one of them. Then bell to indicate second period had started went off and no other that David Ross the guy I most despised came in late and took the only seat left, beside Ashton.

I noticed Ashton's personality changed through out the period, the thing that I didn't want to happen, happened . Ashton changed personality back to mister "cool guy" I'm guessing because of David And his group of other friends. He didn't say a word to me he just ignored me and was even making rude comments about Charlie and I right In front of us .

"Unbelievable" I said to Charlie as we left class
"What a fucking dick, changes personality depending on who he is with "Charlie replied.
"I never want to have to see his face again, ahh I guess I was right about him" I sighed.
We made our way to the lunch hall because it was morning break. When we got there Kim Lottie and Mark were already there, but Luke and Calum were also there ? I sat down beside Charlie and joined the conversation. Ashton and Michael came over and sat down, obviously Ashton had to sit beside me , but then he had the cheek to try talk to me like nothing had happened. Thankfully the bell rang and I headed off to my third class of the day which was English. Turns out Luke and Calum were in my class so we went and sat up the back , the class wasn't to big or to small.

"Okay guys so your normal teacher isn't going to be in for another 3 day . Talk quietly in your groups if you want and if anyone comes in act like you're doing work.
"Got to love substitutes" Calum said.
" why can't every class be like this" I replied.
" I wish , so Lou how did science with Ashton go? "-Luke
"Well he acted different"-Lou
"In what way ?"-Calum
"Well do you ever notice Ashton acting differently around different people. Like when he is with " I didn't have finish the sentence.
" David Ross's group, yeah we noticed, he tries to fit in with them which is kind of sad" Calum said
"Glad i'm not the only one who thinks that " I laughed
" he turns into a complete twat and he doesn't think he is doing anything wrong when he is being Like that" Luke said.
I feel better knowing he isn't just being a shit bag to me.
