Chapter 15 - THIS WHOLE THING WAS A...

I was curious to see what the old lady would say. It was sun set and the man came to us, "shall we meet the lady?"

"Yes please" I answered.

Faith just nodded her head. I was glad she decided to come along. After sun set many people were in their hut leaving the village empty and quite. To get to the lady we had to be concise with our foot steps.

"Here is the room, the lady has been locked in for ages. You can go in and talk to her."

"Won't you come with us sir?"

"I wish I could but I'd break my woes and it would be a disgrace to my village."

"Yes. of course, I understand."

"Here's a lamp, its gonna be dark inside."

"Thank you, Thank you very much."

"Best of luck."

I smiled. But what was if the women decided to eat us, It was pretty cruel of the people to lock her up inside like that for years.

The room was dusty and dark but the lamp lit up the room and there she was in the corner shivering. i stood there staring wanting nothing to go wrong. Hoping she wouldn't be mean or be scared of talking to us since she's been locked up and haven't seen the sun for ages.

I went and sat next to her with the lamp next to me. i touched her to give her a call that i was present in the room.

"Excuse me ma'am"

Her skin was cold, wrinkled, shabby, soughed and pink. Her voice was unpleasant  almost like those voices on the news channels you hear every morning. She opened her eyes, pitter pattering them like its been ages that she's been sleeping. She looked at me and smiled.

"Xey! You shouldn't be here. The people will kill if they know."

She knew who i was? Who was she?

"You know my name? I know, that's why i have come to meet you now after the sun set."

"Yes my child. i'm a witch from the zedlar woods i know who has been there. You are the first to come out of there alive."

"Yes, you are right. Can you tell us how we can get back to where we came from?"

"Before you get back, you have to break the spell of the Zedlar people."

"How?"

"You have to return its only longest living creature back to its four charm."

I didn't understand a word and although i had lived long i didn't know what is longest living creature was or where it is was and i didn't know the four elements of the woods either.

"After that the fall of your soul on the thrice watch on the last full moon will take you back to the same place you started the walk."

WHAT? The fall of my soul? Was she an Illuminati? The watch? The Walk? This was confusing and probably the people of the village were right. She was talking things just to make them believe things that weren't true. I didn't believe a word because firstly, nothing that she said made sense and i didn't want to be rude so i thanked her and left with Faith. Before i could leave the old lady said, "You will return i know you will."

Of course! she would know. I didn't believe her thought.

Walking back to the man's house, Faith held my hand.

"Xey! why did we leave? Maybe she had to say something?"

"Did you understand anything? Why couldn't she speak in English? Why did she speak in her zedlar language we couldn't understand? If she wanted us to get back then she would have told it to us in English. Don't you think?"
