My pack is gone and I am the only survivor. We got into a huge war against another rival pack and they killed everyone in mine, all of the members including the children. Their screams were terrifying and I hear them everyday. That day had started out normal, all of us teens messing around but around noon, they attacked without warning. It was me and a couple of friends that they attacked first but we called the rest of our pack and they helped but nobody made it. All of my family is gone and I'm alone. It really sucks. I had a twin sister who I did everything with but now I can't. Man, this is depressing. The pack that attacked mine, the Emerald Pack, told me to leave the town and never come back or they will kill me. I don't know why they didn't just kill me when they found me. In some ways, I wish they did kill me because I hated not being with my parents or my sister. If any of them were alive this would be much easier. So, doing as they told me to do, I moved. I am a legal adult so I just transferred my papers over to my new school. My pack made up half the school I used to go to. I just hope this new school isn't bad.
The apartment I live in is pretty nice, I have all my parents' money so I'm living off of that. My father was the Alpha and made pretty good money so there was a lot of money in their accounts. When I arrived, I could smell a pack here and I wonder how long it would take for them to realize that I was there. Hopefully they don't send me away. This was the only place that I was actually comfortable with so I really wanted to stay here.
It was a quiet little town with a big forest, which I was glad for. I loved to run so I hope they will let me on their track or cross country teams to compete. Back in my old town, our school was the best in track and cross country, we never needed to stop running and it was a great feeling to be able to run for forever without having to stop. In my pack the teen and I would go running every other night and just run for hours, racing each other. We were very competitive people, always wanting to beat the other.
Looking around my apartment, something was missing but I couldn't figure it out until I noticed that I didn't have any pictures hanging up. I always enjoyed photography and had tons of pictures that I loved. I pulled out a big bag that I put all of my pictures in and started going through them, deciding which ones to place on the walls. I found one of my family and I and put that in a separate pile along with ones of me and my sister. We always would lay around for hours taking pictures, being goofy because that's just how we were. A lot of people would tell us we were photogenic and thinking back on it, I guess we were. When we were younger our parents would try to get us to model or do commercials but we hated it, well my sister liked it a little but she didn't want to do anything without me, we were pretty much inseparable. The strange thing is that I didn't feel her die, yet when I found her she didn't have a pulse. Usually when one twin werewolf dies, the other feels it but I didn't. I guess things are different for everyone?
By the time I finished going through my pictures, it was late and I had to be up for school tomorrow. I already picked out my outfit, black v-neck shirt, jean shorts, black Vans and some cute accessories. My sister and I had different styles, mine was more skaterish and hers was more girly. We would always try to confuse people and wear each others clothing and we usually did confuse them, while having a great laugh at that. We even tried to confused our parents with that but it never worked because we have different colored eyes, mine are a bluish grey color and hers are a greenish grey color, pretty cool.
Getting ready for bed, I realized I was really tired and once my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light. Almost every night I have nightmares and they are always about the fight and how it always ended with me seeing my dead family. In some of the nightmares I would talk to my family before they got killed but it was mainly me watching them get killed. Terrible, I know. I just wish they would go away. I hardly get more than five hours of sleep every night and I always wake up tired but I just have to get used to it. Luckily, before I was about to see my family being killed for the hundredth time, my alarm woke me up. Taking a deep breath, I went to the bathroom, took a shower then started getting ready for school. I had to wake up earlier because I decided to straighten my long, black hair to make it look nicer. My natural hair is curly and it doesn't look bad, I just prefer my hair to be straight. My sister always had her hair curly because she loved it.
After I ate a small bowl of Raisin Nut Bran cereal, I brushed my teeth and headed to school in my 1985 Chevy El Camino Carlo. I loved to drive it, my dad, sister and I rebuilt the engine together when my sister and I were fifteen and it runs so nice now. I loved fixing cars, that's what me and my dad always did together, he taught me how to fix cars when I was eleven since I had been begging him to teach me for a year. I became the mechanic in the pack and everyone would come to me and my dad for help with their cars. We even put in a new sound system and the bass sounds amazing in it.
The school was pretty big for the town being so small and I was becoming nervous as I saw people staring at me. I'm a little taller than most girls, 6'0 but that never bothered me or my sister, we love being tall. When I turned off the engine, I took a deep breath then grabbed my backpack and headed to the office with lots of eyes following me. , I smelled the sweetest smell ever as I reached the office door and it made me look around, trying to find where it was coming from but I couldn't.
"Are you going to move or just stand there?" someone said behind me and I turned around to see the most gorgeous guy ever. He had dark brown eyes that I seemed to get lost in and light brown hair that my fingers were itching to touch. I cleared my throat and looked away, embarrassed by my staring.
"Sorry, I just, uh, yeah," I told him and headed into the office to pick up my schedule. My wolf was screaming for me to go back and talk to him.
I think he's my mate!
