Blayz's P.O.V.
I don't really have a good feeling about these witches. They are hiding something, I know it but I can't figure out what it is! It's so frustrating. I've been sitting in the corner, kind of, just watching the witches interact with Hayden and his pack. They seem to be fine with them but I just know they aren't telling us everything. David, Hayden's father, seems to be on-board with me, he has been just as tense as I have, if not more. The witches seem familiar to me and it really bothers me that I have no clue why. At the moment, I feel so clueless about this situation and I don't like it.
David and I kept looking at each other, we were kind of alike. Well, not that much. I just know that he doesn't trust them like me. I've been trying to just leave but I don't want to seem rude. Tomorrow was Sunday and I needed to get my homework and everything done but I probably won't be able to do that if I'm worrying about what the witches are up to. Why does everything have to be complicated.
"Blayz, babe. Come here, they need to tell you something," Hayden said and I walked up to the group they formed, sitting close to my mate.
"Blayz," a really familar lady said. She was gorgeous with long blond hair and bright blue eyes. She has a slim figure and overall just looks nice. "Do you remember me?"
"You seem familiar, but no," I told her honestly. She just smiled and nodded.
"Your father and I are great friends. That is why we are here. He asked me to protect you. I thought you weren't, you know, around like your sister was until I made that necklace for Marcos. I deeply regret it. Once I found out it was you who he is after, I left. My family followed me. We want to protect you like your father wants," she said and I was confused.
"I-I thought they had died?" I asked her.
"No, we had been working with Marcos for a long time and we made a serum to paralyze a werewolf and that is what he used but they faked their deaths. I'm so sorry. If I would have known sooner that he was such an evil man, I wouldn't have allowed all of that to happen."
"And we want payback!" another witch said. She was younger with bright red hair, almost like fire, and grey eyes.
"Please excuse, Layla. She is quite the spitfire," the older witch said. "My name is Roselda. I helped your mother give birth to you and your sister. You two were such gorgeous girls. You still are."
"So, you are only here to protect me like my father wanted?"
"No, we also want revenge on Marcos for the way he treated us. Ever since he laid eyes on you, he has become an evil monster. We witches have been through a lot together," Roselda said.
"How did you meet my parents?" I asked her. I felt like we were playing twenty questions but I needed answers and so far, they seemed to be loyal to us.
"A long time ago, sweetie. Let's take a walk," she said and I hesitated for a moment but we began walking outside in the forest. "Many years ago, I was in trouble with the witches. I had started working with the darker stuff to become more powerful and one day, everything just went bad. Your father found me, almost dead in the forest by your house. He didn't believe me at first that I meant no harm but after a day of him just watching me die slowly, he helped me out. I owe him everything. So, after he saved me, I showed him my loyalty by staying by his side and helping him and your mom out. One day, she found out she was having twins, two beautiful girls. Your dad was ecstatic, he literally couldn't wait to see you two. When she went into labor, she was in a lot of pain so I made a serum, like an epidural, and that helped her. You came out first, healthy as ever. Next came your sister and she was a little lighter but she was just as healthy as you. I stayed for a few years acting as a nanny and finally I was let back with the witches, vowing never to deal with dark magic again. I never really wanted to leave, I wanted to watch you both grow up beautiful and strong as you are today but that wasn't my place. Do you remember my last words when you were four? The words I said before I left?" I tried to think really hard to when I was four. People told me a lot of things. I closed my eyes and thought hard, probably looking constipated in the act. Suddenly, I was brought back to my house, standing in front of Roselda with my sister crying next to me. Her next words brought me back.
"Essere grande a forte," I said and threw my arms around her, remembering the great times we had. "Rosie." Roselda smiled and hugged me back tightly.
"Be great and strong," she whispered in my ear the words she had said to me all those years ago. I looked at her and smiled. "I knew you would do great, sweetie. Let's head back." Rosie and I walked back to the house holding hands and when Hayden saw us, he smiled. I smiled back at him, happy. He ran to me and picked me up, twirling me around. When he set me on the ground I looked at Rosie, who was staring at us with tears in her eyes. She smiled and I knew they were tears of joy. I smiled back at her and hugged Hayden tightly.
"My dear, we will be back tomorrow. Essere grande-" she said and waited for me to say the rest.
"A forte," I said and hugged her again. Her and her people walked out of the house and David walked up to us.
"I take that these witches are for real? They mean what they say?" He asked us.
"Yes, sir," I said.
"Oh, call me David. I hate sir," he said and I smiled at him.
"Well, we are gonna go to my room. Bye, Dad," Hayden said and we ran up the stairs to his room. When we got to his door, he pushed me against it and smashed his lips on mine. I was surprised but was quick to respond and kissed him back.
"Sorry, I've been wanting to do that all day," he said, breathless. We walked in his room and I laid on his bed, curling up. He laid next to me and faced me, smiling brightly.
"What's that look for?"
"You are gorgeous, you know that?" he said and I knew I was blushing.
"Well, you know, it's me," I said sarcastically. We laughed and silence fell on us while we just stared at each other.
As if there was a magnet pulling me towards him, I found our lips touching instantly and wrapped my arms around his neck trying to get him closer to me. He seemed to want the same thing and rolled so he was laying on me. He supported himself with his forearms and pulled back to look at me. I pulled him down again and smashed our lips together, hungrily. He has a nice body, I thought to myself as my hands ran over his back and chest. I wonder if he has a six-pack or not, I told myself and pulled his shirt off. He was rubbing my stomach with his hand and reached up further. He pulled back and looked at me to see if I wanted him to stop and since I didn't say anything, he continued while pulling my shirt up at the same time. His breathing got harder as he stared at me and I knew my breathing was heavier. I wrapped my legs around him and tightened them to get us impossibly closer. I've never been with a guy like this, I hope I'm not bad, I told myself as Hayden played with the edge of my bra, not sure if he should go on. Just as he was about to touch me again, the door burst open and Lilly walked in. I did the first thing I thought of and pushed Hayden off me, onto the floor like the last time. He groaned as I put my shirt on and looked at me like, 'What the f***?'
"Haha, I knew you were already falling for her," Lilly said to Hayden and walked out with me cracking up. That little girl was a genius for her age, a funny genius at that. She just comes at the wrong time. I wonder when we will actually be fully together.
