Chapter 2

~Jace’s pov~

That was his mate? Wow. She was so beautiful I couldn’t stop myself from staring. The way her voice sounded, her hypnotic green eyes putting me in a trance, and her perfect body moving side to side as she walk. Alpha’s mate or not, I don’t care. She will be mine.

I started walking to my 3rd period and surprisingly Luna was in there next to Jayden.

“Hey man. I heard the principal was looking for you. He gave me this note to give to you, I think it’s important.” I said to Jayden.

He took one long look at the note, sighed, kissed Luna on the cheek, whispered something into her ear and left. Finally, I thought he was never going to leave.

“Hey sexy.” I said to her.

“Hey.”

God her voice is so melodic.

“Since Jayden is gone for today, how about you spend lunch with me? And maybe afterschool we can go hang out somewhere?” I asked nervously.

“Sure Jace, I would love to.” She replied happily.

I could feel myself blushing so I looked at the board and started copying down what the teacher was writing.

~Lunchtime~

~Luna’s pov~

I wonder where Jace is, he told me he would meet me here. Just as I was thinking that, Jace walked through the door and came up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

“Hey sexy, sorry to keep you waiting. I had to tell the guys where I was going, hope I didn’t keep you waiting.” He said smoothly.

I blushed, he thinks I’m sexy. Wait no! What am I doing, I have a mate who I am happy with. Stop falling for Jace’s words. I thought angrily to myself. He noticed my facial expression so he pulled me closer to him.

I gasped.

“Did I hurt you? I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” He asked quickly, concern written all over his face.

“I’m fine, I was just thinking. Come on, let’s go eat.” I replied rather quickly.

“Anything for you sexy.”

~Jace’s pov~

I held her hand and led her to a table that was empty.

“I’ll be right back.” I told her.

I walked to the lunch line and picked up two trays, each stacked with food. We’re werewolves so we eat like pigs. We need all the energy we can get.

“You ready to pig out?” I asked her while chuckling.

“You know it!” She replied enthusiastically.

“Ready, set, go!” I shouted and started shoving food in my mouth while she does the same. Ten minutes later she came out victorious.

“How did you win?” I whined. “I was way ahead of you.”

“It’s called skills silly, get some.” She replied and then smirked and left to go to her 5th period. I miss her already.

~Afterschool~

~Luna’s pov~

Time to go find Jace. I wonder where he would be? I walked to the school parking lot and ran into Jace at the door.

“Hey sexy I was just looking for you!” He said.

“Well you found me.” I replied trying hard not to flirt.

“Let’s get on our way then.” He grabbed my hand softly and led me to his car. He opened the door for me and soon after I was safety tucked in the passenger seat, he got in.

“Umm where are we going?” I asked quietly as the car sets in motion.

“It’s a secret.” He replied with a wink.

Half an hour later I felt the car jerk to a halt. The scene in front of us was breath taking. The ocean water was so clear that I could see the fishes swimming around. The sun was barely setting causing the water to reflect it’s fiery beauty making the ocean look like it’s been painted to perfection. The ripples made the water look like the colors were mixing. There was dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water. The sand was so soft and smooth and the breeze was soft and nice.

“Woww. This is.. just wow.” I said slowly as if i needed to catch my breath. “How did you ever find a place like this?”

“I used to come here all the time with my sister.”

“Oh, where is your sister now?”

He choked on his words. “She’s dead…”

“I’m so sorry! Forget I ever asked. Did you know that dolphins are very intelligent animals?” I said trying to take his mind off of what I just asked.

“It’s no worries, you don’t need to cover up what you just asked.” He replied as if reading my mind. “And yes I do know that dolphins are very intelligent, but I bet they can’t compare to you.”

He tapped my nose and I stuck my tongue out at him.

“Oh you are so going in for that!” He shouted playfully. He ran to my side and threw me over his shoulder and started running towards the water.

“AHHH! Let me down Jace or I will bite you!” I yelled.

“No chance sexy.” He shouted back playfully.

He dropped me and I felt the cold water rush all around me. It felt so nice, like it was washing away my old life and giving me a new one; one that I wished for.

I slowly stood up and acted hurt. Jace rushed to me right away.

“Shit.” He mumbled. “Are you okay Luna?”

“I…” I murmur and pounced on him. “SUCKER!” I shouted and then pushed him into the water. I started laughing so hard when he came up for air with a shocked expression on his face. Tears were raining down my face. “Luna 1, Jace 0.”

“Oh you are on!” He replied quickly.

~1 hour later~

~Jace’s pov~

“I think we’re done, I bow down to thee holy Luna.” I chuckled.

She whooped my butt without even having to try.

“Of course, I’m too awesome for you anyways.” I jokingly replied.
