Chapter 13

~Luna's pov~

They stared at each other before smiling widely and rushing over to me to give me a group hug. Jayden demanded we all have family dinner on Saturday after the packs meeting to announce the great news to everyone. While Jayden was planning out the dinner with his father I talked with Luke about school tomorrow.

“You should be heading off to bed since we’re going to have to wake up early tomorrow.” Luke warned.

“But I’m not sleepy.” I said as a yawn escaped my mouth by accident.

Luke smirked at me. “Your body tells me different. Come darling, let’s get you to bed.” He carried me up to our bed and I sighed happily. How did I end up with Luke and Jayden? He tucked me in the bed slowly making sure I was cozy and comfortable. As I was drifting off to sleep, Luke got up and tried to sneak outside but failed. I shot my hand out and grabbed his; shuddering at the butterflies I was feeling.

I looked at him sleepily and mumbled. “Luke? Will you stay and sleep with me?” I pouted giving him my best puppy dog face.

He grinned widely before kissing my forehead and jumping in bed with me. I scooted closer to him and laid my head on his arm; I then fell into a blissful sleep.

~Luke’s pov~

Brrrinnnngg! Luna’s alarm clock went off. I groaned loudly causing Luna to stir slightly. I looked down at her and smiled; admiring her beauty. I got out of bed and rushed to the closet looking for something to wear. I swear, I am such a girl when it came to outfits. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to look good or blend in. Hmmm, I tapped my chin lightly trying to decide on which color. I thumped my head on my hand and decided to go with a black v-neck and low hip hugging jeans. Ten minutes later I walked out of the bathroom and towards the bed. I shook Luna softly trying to wake her up.

“Mmmm. Ten more minutes mom.” She mumbled before patting my head as if I was the snooze button on her alarm clock. I laughed at her silliness and picked her up, bring her to the bathroom. I sat her down on the closed toilet seat before getting water and splashing cold water on her face. She opened her eyes immediately with a shock expression written all over her face.

“Your face is priceless!” I shouted while pointing at her face and laughing my butt off. She blinked cluelessly before the puzzles clicked together.

“Why you jerk!” She shouted before pushing me out of the bathroom to get ready for school.

Jayden heard all of the shouting and rushed in. “What happened? Is Luna okay?” He asked worriedly.

“She’s fine man. I just splashed cold water on her face to wake her up for school. Oh but dude, you missed her face. It was freaking priceless!” I replied before laughing again.

“Shut up! I can hear you jerk!” Luna shouted.

“Sorry darling.” I apologized playfully. Jayden just gave me a weird look before going downstairs to get breakfast started. We are now officially eating as a family.

I cleared my thoughts as I heard a click and the door knob turning. Luna exited out of the bathroom looking like a goddess. I could have sworn I was drooling. She giggled like a ten year old.

“You know you should close your mouth before a fly gets in there.” As if on cue, a fly started buzzing through the room. I closed my mouth quickly before pulling Luna into a tight hug. I kissed her forehead before saying how beautiful she looked. She blushed and dragged me down the kitchen with her.

~Luna’s pov~

I exited the bathroom and caught Luke staring at me with his mouth hanging open. I giggled before saying, “You know you should close your mouth before a fly gets in there.” All of a sudden, a fly started buzzing through the room. That was so awesome! I thought. Luke closed his mouth right away before pulling me into a tight hug, kissing my forehead, and telling me how beautiful I looked. He probably thought I blushed because of his compliment but the truth is, I only blushed because my stomach growled. I dragged him down the stairs toward the kitchen as the heavenly aroma filled my nostril. Luke and I walked into the kitchen and caught sight of Jayden placing heaping plates of food on the table.

“Jayden, why is there so much food?” I asked as I plopped a piece of blueberry pancake into my awaiting mouth. I moaned as the taste overfilled my taste buds. Luke and Jayden laughed at my silliness. Jayden pulled me and Luke over to the table and sat us down.

“Well, I wanted this breakfast to be special because it’s going to be the first time we’re eating as a family.” He said looking like he’s about to cry with happiness.

Luke smiled brightly at both of us and said. “Then let’s not put this to waste, let’s eat!” We all ate like there was no tomorrow. By the time we finished, it was 7:30 am, which meant we still had half an hour to get to school. We grabbed our backpacks and headed towards Jayden’s car.

“I call shotgun.” I shouted happily before rushing to the front passenger seat.

“But but but, I wanted the shotgun seat.” Luke said acting like a 6 year old kid who had just gotten his favorite toy taken away.

“You snooze you lose.” I replied before sticking out my tongue at him.

“Fine.” He replied grumpily.

Jayden started his car before laughing at us. The car roared to life and then we were on our way to school, oh so crappy school. We made it to school in ten minutes leaving us about 15 minutes before the homeroom bell would ring. I stared at my same old schedule before frowning.

1st- Homeroom with Mr. Blakely

2nd- Pre calculus with Ms. Moore

Brunch

3rd- History with Mr. Kalwattsy

4th- P.e. With coach Herr

Lunch

5th- Chemistry with Mrs. Kal

6th- English with Mr. Heartwy

Brrinng! “Well there goes the bell.” I said before sighing loudly. I dragged my feet towards homeroom feeling like I was wearing tons of steel on me. Jayden raised his eyebrows at me but I just brushed it off. I walked in the room and sat down in my usual seat with Jayden next to me.

“Ahh. I see you have decided to join us Ms. Taylor, and Mr. Mahone.” Mr. Blakely said with distaste in his voice.

I stared at him annoyed. “Yes, sorry I have been missing out but I have had important family matters to take care of over the past few days.”

“Well then, I request that you have your homeroom homework done and turned in by next Monday, is that clear Mr. Mahone and Ms. Taylor?”

“Yes.” We mumbled.

Accepting our answer, Mr. Blakely went back to teaching the class about some random crap. It’s homeroom for god’s sake. Isn’t homeroom suppose to be the class where you can just do whatever like read, listen to music, catch up with homework, or something around there. I rested my head on the cool table and turned to look out the window. It was cloudy with no sun in sight. I sighed softly to myself before turning back to face Jayden who was looking at me curiously.

“Yes?” I asked in my mind.

“Why the long face and the soft sighs?” He asked.

“I don’t know, just tired I guess.”

“How about this, after school you, me and Luke will all go out and do something together, no stress, no homework, just fun?”

“Mmm, I would like that very much.” I replied smiling happily towards Jayden. “Oh and can we go get ice cream? I looovvveee chocolate ice cream.” I said patting my stomach.

Jayden smile mirrored mines. “Oh course love, but I would have to say, chocolate sucks! Go team vanilla!”I stuck my tongue out at him before turning her attention back towards the window.
