~Bryant’s pov, 5 years later~

I sat on my bed gripping onto her letter tightly. It’s been five years since I last seen her. I was foolish, the one girl who ever made me fell in love walked out of my life. I needed her so much but I doubt she even remembers me. I still remember her clearly. 7th grade, she was up to my shoulder with wide green eyes, her flowing red hair up to her shoulder, a smile that could kill and she was, what can I say? To sum it up, she was beautiful, not hot, cute, pretty; she was beautiful. Foot steps echoed in my room as someone appear in front of my door.

“Is she really worth holding on to? She left you, why can’t you accept that?” The person asked.

My hand clenched into a tight fist. “Shut your mouth. She didn’t move because of my letter, she left because he dad made her!”

A chuckle rang loud and clear through my room. “It’s not like she will even remember you. She has mates and not to mention kids.”

My jaw locked tight as I felt my blood boiling. “I. Don’t. Fucking. Care. Mate or not, I will always be in love with her.”

Daniel laughed again while showing himself clearly. “You really think she’s going to accept you after she finds out you’re working for me? Still boy, you’re lucky I find you special otherwise I would have gotten rid of you a long time ago.”

I gripped the edge of my bed to hold back from attacking Daniel. I never meant to get involved with him but he fooled me. He came to me saying he knew where Luna was and how to find her. I was desperate, so being the stupid boy I was back then, I followed him. When I realized it was all a trick; I tried to escape but he threatened to kill my family and I knew he wasn’t bluffing so I stayed and have been used by him all these years. Although he never hurt me, I knew I couldn’t test him. When he first mention Luna’s name, I didn’t believe him so I pushed it aside like it was a useless item. After hearing her description, I knew it was Luna; it had to be. The girl I’m in love with five years ago is back now and there is no way in hell I’m going to let her go, even if it meant my life.

~Luna’s pov~

I grumbled as I felt my shoulders being shaken softly. “Go away weirdo…”

A giggle broke out from somewhere. “Jayden told me to wake you up. He says that there is breakfast on the table. Come on, wakie wakie.”

I opened my eyes slowly, feeling the burn from the bright lights before focusing my eyes on the 8 year old girl standing in front of me. “Hello? Umm. May I ask who you happened to be?”

The girl smiled showing off her two front teeth that had a gap in between them. “I’m Jayden’s sister, Kathy. I’m eight and I like unicorns! Do you think I would be able to see a unicorn. Jayden tells me they’re not real.” She pouted before continuing. “But I know he’s only saying that to play with me. Unicorns are real, will you go take me to see one?” She smiled so brightly that I didn’t dare crush her hopes.

“Of course I will! And thank you for waking me up.” I hugged her before pushing myself off the couch and onto my feet. I yawned when I entered the kitchen but straightened up as the smell of blueberry pancakes and bacon hit me. I lipped my lips while rubbing my stomach. “What in the world smells so divine?”

Luke chuckled before wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. He kissed my cheek. “Jayden  is cooking blueberry pancake and bacon just for you.”

I walked to where Jayden was cooking and stared at the perfectly fluffy pancake before making a face. “You sure it’s edible?”

Jayden gave me “Wtf” look. “Yes of course, why wouldn’t it be?”
