Chapter 19

Bella P.O.V

"What?" The tone of confusion in his voice made me regret asking, but this is what I really wanted this.

"I want you to change me," I said as I got up from his lap.

"Bella... No. No I can't," he started to say as he saw the pleading in my eyes.

"Why not? You want us to be together right? All I want is to be with you forever. If you change me, we can."

"No Bella, I won't do that. I can't. I won't change you into a monster like me. I could never do that to you," I felt my eyes start to water as I fought back tears.

"So what? You don't want to be with me? Is that why you won't change me? Your not a monster, I know you. I just want you, that's all I want."

"Bella that's not it-" I looked up at Carlisle who was standing by the door, and made Edward stop talking.

"Alice has something she would like to tell us," we both nodded as he gestured his hand to the living room.

I sat down next to Alice instead of Edward. I felt his eyes of sadness staring at me. Alice looked worried, so I just ignored the fact that he wanted me to be next him.

"What's this about? Is it about Esme? Or the missing people-" I looked up at Emmet who looked like he just said something he wasn't supposed to.

"What missing people?" I looked over to Alice who was looking down at her hands.

"There are different people that are going missing around the country," I heard Edwards quiet voice from the other side of the room. His eyes were still filled with sadness.

"Why are we worried about that?" Everyone looked down, and I realized why Alice wanted to talk to all of us.

"Something's coming...for you Bella," I looked over to Carlisle who began to frown, and from the other side of the room I watched as Edward ran out of the room onto the front steps.

"What do you mean something is coming for me?" Everyone tensed up as I looked at Carlisle.

"We don't know. Alice said she saw something. She said they'll be here in a few days," I felt my heart start to race as I realized I was in danger.

I got up and left the room without saying another word. I walked out the front door, and sat down next to Edward who looked like he was about to cry.

"I can't loose you Bella," I heard him whisper as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"You won't, if you were to change me," I lifted up his head to make him look up at me.

"I can't do that Bella. It'll be hard for me," I understood what he meant, so I pressed my finger against his lips to make him stop talking.

"Then just kiss me please," he pressed his lips against mine as the sun started to fall.

I felt his arms wrapped around my waist as his cold lips kissed mine. I felt a sense of calmness as he picked me up, and continued kissing me. I felt his cold hands move up my back and neck as I began to shiver from the cold weather.

He pulled away from me while he held my face in his hands and said, "I love you."

"I love you," I replied back giving him a small peck on the lips before grabbing his hand and walking back inside.

I stopped when I approached the living room. Their eyes were all on me, which made me even more nervous than I had to really be.

"Edward, can we speak with you for a second?" He nodded as he signaled me to go to my room. He kissed my cheek and let go of my hand.

As much as I really wanted to listen to what they were saying, I went straight to my room, and closed the door. I shut the lights off, got ready for bed, and laid in bed for a few seconds before closing my eyes.

Edward P.O.V

"What's this about? Are you sending me away again? Because I'm not leaving Bella," my eyes shifted to Carlisle as he clutched his fists against his face.

"No Edward, we are never doing that again. Bella needs you, and we need you to keep her safe," his tone was low as his eyes reverted to Alice who was looking at straight at me.

"Well mission accomplished. I am keeping her safe."

        "We know Edward.  Which is why you cannot leave her side at all.  In a few days they're coming.  We don't know who, but we need you to protect her," I simply nodded without saying another word and looked over to Alice.

        "We're going back to Forks," just the words that came out of her mouth made me feel very uneasy. 

        "Why Forks?" My voice sounded low in despair.

        "Well we're going to need some help if we're going to kill some vampires," I looked over to Emmet who was smiling while punching his hand.

        "What kind of help?" My eyes turned back to Carlisle who was standing on his feet now.

        He hesitated a bit and looked around the room before answering, "The wolves."
