I glanced at Mckynleigh and Bryce. What had just happened?! This wasn't Marissa. It couldn't be. I slowy stepped down the staircase and peered over Marissa's body face down. I must've kicked her that hard. Since we knew the door wasn't going to open, and Natalie,Damian, and Cameron wouldn't hear us, we three decided to hide. That was our only decision. Oh how I hoped Samuel and Hannah were alright. We hid behind the staircase surrounded by old furniture, clothes, boxes and such. We crouched under the steep staircase, all of us close to tears at the fear of what had happened tonight. We had been tortured an tourmented all because of some stupid school project. Wait til' Ms.Holliday hears about this, if we ever get out of here that is. Then the worst possible thing happened. Marissa, or the thing in her body, forcefully pushed herself up and groaned in anger. Mckynleigh then completley gave out our hiding stop by letting out a slight but quiet squeel. Marissa suddenly spun around and stared in our direction. She then  stomped slowly towards us. I felt my eyes get wet. The tears dripped down my cheeks. I squeezed Mckynleigh and Bryce's hands scared that this thing had killed our friends and could possibly kill us also. Marissa chucked things behind her that were in the way of her path to us. Then, all of a sudden she fell to the ground abruptly. I looked at my friends, curious to what had just happened. Was she faking dead so she could get to us or what?! Bryce steadily got up and Mckynleigh and I followed. We knelt down over Marissa's face, her eyes closed. It was quiet until the sudden knocking on the door came. We all glanced at each other in complete shock. Was there a possibility we could get out of here? Marissa then suddenly awoke, gasping and gripping my arm tightly. I screamed in terror.

  "Lindsay, Mckynleigh, Sam, Bryce, Hannah?!" I heard three voices echo from outside the door pounding on it hard. I tried to pull away from her tight grip on my arm but it was impossible! Then she looked around confused and spoke;

"What is going on? Where's Sam and Hannah?!" Could this be Marissa? She let go of my arm.

  "..Marissa?" I asked.

"Oblivously," She answered. "What happened? What happened to Lexi, and Terrence?" I looked at Bryce, signaling for him to go get the door before they broke it down. He did what I told and I spoke quietly and carefully to Marissa.

"Who?"She got up and walked over to the secret door in the wall thing she had thrown Hannah in and opened it. Hannah shuffled quickly out of the door breathing heavly and a dirty, battered-up girl who looked to be about 14/15 followed.

"Who is this?" I asked her.

"My cousin, Lexi. She was proclaimed dead a few years ago, but has been here all along. Her evil twin sister has been feeding her a peice of bread and watter a day to keep her alive, to make her suffer."

"Marissa! Oh my god, Terrance!" She said shaking her cousin.

  "What about Terrence?" Marissa asked.

"She possesed you, you may have killed your friend." She said pointing to Samuel.  He lay there on the broken glass, still and silent.

"No, no, no!" Marissa yelled running to Samuel as Damian, Natalie, and Cameron hurried to his side behind her. Marissa took his hand. "Did I do this?" She asked, not taking her eyes off him, tears running down her face.

"Technically, it was Terrence. But yes, it was your body." Her cousin informed her. Bryce must've explained to Damian, Natalie and Cam what had happened.

"Wait.. how did she leave Marissa's body then? She was just abot to kill us!"

Damian, Natalie and Cameron then stared aat each other in shock.

"We..killed her spirit." Damian spoke in his heavy irish accent. We all looked at him, waiting for an explination.

"We were upstairs, reading off spells from a book that we thought were stupid halloween things." Damian started,

"One was called getting rid of evil spirits.. We just read that one before we came down here." Natalie finished. Today was just the most bizzare day of my life. Ghosts, Demons, Possesions, Spells. It was insane. I glanced over at Marissa, still clutching Samuel's hand and crying. She then leanded over and kissed him as the tears slid one by one down her face. I rushed over to my friend, rubbing her back and trying to comfort her, He then suddenly squeezed her hand and she gasped with hope. Samuel slowly blinked his eyes.

  "Marissa?" he asked.

"Yep." She helped him up and hugged him slightly, trying not to hurt the cuts from the glass in his back. "I'm so sorry Sam. All of you. I'm so sorry." Marissa apollogized over and over. Damian, Natalie, Cameron, Hannah, Mckynleigh, Bryce, Lexi and I all joined the two in the hug, happy that all of our stress and suffering at this old mansion was over. Terrence's spirit was dead and gone for good.

"Let's get you to the hospital." Marissa said guiding Samuel up the stairs and we all followed. I leaned on Cameron's side and sighed with a feeling of relief.
