The Cirque Du Freak Diaries: Book One

Chapter 14

I didn't waste any time. I shot out the front door, closed it, expanded my wings and flew into the sky. 

I could smell the Vampire's where all over town. 

I was trying to decide which direction I would take, but something told me which way to go. 

I followed that feeling and arrived at the Cirque Du Freak in about fifteen minutes. 

There was I huge tent in the middle of the meadow that was in front of me, and I could hear that they were performing for their crowd. 

" I thought you said you will not be coming without your brothers?" The tall man asked as he appeared out of nowhere. 

"I came to ask you about Vampires. My brother Steve was turned and we have no idea what we're in for. We only know what's in the books and on the internet, but I have a feeling that it's some of the stuff  isn't true." 

" What did this Vampire look like?" He asked me. 

" There was a group of them, but the one that attacked Steve was, had tattered clothes, and his skin looked almost like it was like a blueish purple. " 

" The person that turned your friend belongs to a clan of Vampire's called Vampaneze. They parted ways from the Vampire's because they wanted to kill their victims when they fed, while the Vampires did not." 

" Can we help him?" I asked.  

" Do you know if he is a half or a whole Vampaneze?" 

" How would I know?"

" Did he drink his blood?" 

" No. When I killed the Vampaneze that attacked him, he got a small amount of blood in his scratches." 

" He is a half-Vampaneze."  

" Has he fed yet?" 

" I gave him some of my blood when he got ahold of himself."  

" Do not let him drink the blood of snakes, rats or cats, it will make him deathly sick." 

" If he's only a half-Vampaneze, can we turn him in into a Vampire so he doesn't have to deal with the bloodlust." 

" That is possible, but there are only a few times it has worked." 

" I doubt there will be a Vampire that will help us. Especially since the Vampire's and Vampaneze hate each other, right?"  

" Correct, however, I have a friend that is a vampire. I could ask him to bring you to his people and plead your case. One of the Prince's has performed this technique and lived. But he is doing his performance. However, he will want something in return." 

" Do you know what he wants?" 

" An assistant."
