( Larten's P.O.V.)
" Get back to your tents." I told them.
They quickly did as they were told as I made my way to Hibernius's tent.
" Unacceptable, Unforgivable, to blood children." Mr. Tiny began as I stood a few feet from Hibernius. " Are they drinking enough blood?"
" I'm taking them out tomorrow night." I said.
" And how is my grandchild?"
Hibernius got a strange look on his face. I let my mind wander into his, and I noticed he was letting Emma's conscious into his so she would know what was going on.
" She is well aware of her powers now," Hibernius told Mr. Tiny as he passed him. " I sat her down and talked to her."
Hibernius had worry in his eyes. He knew his Father was up to something. He always was.
" I'm glad they are doing well. I would hate to see them die at the hands of the Vampaneze, as their parents did."
The expression changed on Hibernius's face as he handed Mr. Tiny some scotch in a glass, but he didn't take it.
When he didn't take it, Hibernius went to set down.
" I suppose the time is coming for new rulers, as you may know already, Mr. Tall. I would advise you to keep a close eye on your sister, she may be in danger."
" You and I both know she is safe in her cave."
" Why are you here, Desmond?" I asked.
" I was in the neighborhood and I thought I would swing by and see how my family was doing," He paused. " And to take Emma with me. Mr. Tall, will you be reasonable and give her to me?"
" I do not recommend she come with you, unless you want to live another day. She is quite angered by your confession, and you know what an angry Angel is capable of."
" You know I always get what I want, in the end." Mr. Tiny said, then left the tent.
I could feel Emma's anger radiating from Hibernius, then it disappeared.
" You need to get to Vampire Mountian as fast as you can, my friend," Hibernius pointed out. " She will be safer there."
" We will only be here for three more days," I told him. " No more, no less."
