The Cirque Du Freak Diaries: Book One

Chapter 19

( Darren's P.O.V.) 

We reached Indiana in a few days. 

" We will be traveling with the Cirque Du Freak for a few days," Mr. Crepsley said as we all got out of the vehicle. " I want you two to at least be able to defend yourselves and flit before we visit Vampire Mountian."  

" It's going to take more than a few days to teach Darren how to fight." Steve and Emma pointed out at the same time.  

" We will see." 

When we started to walk up to the campground, Mr, Crepsley told us " Don't stare." 

It was so lit up that it hurt my eyes a little. My hearing was pretty sensitive to, but Mr. Crepsley had told us it would be like that for a few days. The loud noises didn't help very well. 

" Stay here." Mr. Crepsley instructed us as he went to enter a large tent. 

( Mr. Crepsley's P.O.V.) 

" Neutral," Hibernius Tall said. " The Cirque has always stayed neutral. That is how it has survived all these years." 

" You will stay neutral," I told him. " I'm not trying to drag you into anything, I was trying to keep myself you of it. And now I have three assistants, and one of them is an Angle." 

" Her weapon is here with me. However, she can only turn into one weapon." 

" We will be out of here as soon as soon as possible. I don't want Mr. Tiny showing up and turning her against us." 

" You and I both now that will not happen. She is a strong girl, just like her Mother." 

( Steve's P.O.V.) 

" I'm. sorry guys, I can't get anything," Emma told us. " They're both blocking me out." 

" You think we should-" Darren started. 

" No. We just need to stay here and wait." 

" We're not going to find out anything if we're just standing here, Em." I argued. 

" The only thing that will come out of that is embarrassment. We need to show him that we're not some reckless teenagers. So we're staying here until he says so. Besides, I would pick up if he was hiding or lying to us." 

Crepsley appeared in front of us. " Darren, you will be staying in Evra's tent, you two will be staying in the tent beside there's." 

Crepsley took us there and we got settled in pretty fast. 

( Darren's P.O.V.) 

Evra was pretty cool and I could tell he instantly got a crush in Emma when we saw her. Who wouldn't, she was really beautiful.

I guess it was an animal thing, since he was a snake, technically. 

We introduced ourselves and hung out for a couple of ours. 

( Larten's P.O.V.) 

" Did you forget to tell me you were going away for a couple of days!" Truska said as she hit me with one of the small pillows we had on our bed. " I can't believe you treat me like this, I've been worried sick! Why can't you just get a cell phone?" 

" Because Vampires don't need cell phones." 

" Uh, Vampires don't need this, Vampires don't need that. I'll tell you what Vampire's need, they need to listen. Didn't I tell you I had a foreboding, and then you show up here with those kids."  

" It's been a long couple of days. I think I will just hit the pine early." 

" No, wait. You don't love me anymore." 

She turned away. " It's my beard." 

" You know how I feel about you," I said as I placed both my hands on both her shoulders. " I just don't want to outlive anyone. It's depressing watching people you care about grow old while you stay young." 

She turned back around. " Have you looked in the mirror lately, your no kid." 

" Oh, no, no." She said as I went in to kiss her. " I'm still angry at you." 

" Your mouth says no, but your beard says yes." 

She hit me lightly on the left shoulder. " Your the one that's growing old not me. I'm one-thousand and five-hundred years old, or did you forget?" 

" I didn't. I just said the thing you were felling." 

" What am I going to do with you?" 

" Love me until I die." 

" In that case, you should marry me. We already have three kids." 

" We will see."
