Chapter 12

The day has finally arrived, I got up bright and early this morning then got ready, I couldn't really decide on what to wear, after all this is my very first date. Sigh... And yet I can't make up my mind, might as well wear something comfortable, in the end I just wore a whit cotton shirt with a light beige sweater and blue shorts. Ring!!! Ring!!!, it's my phone, I picked it up and saw the caller 'Camille', I quickly answered the phone.
"Hi Camille."
"Hey, I just called Tara she said she'll meet us at the school gate and there we can all walk together at the cafe near here."
"Alright, then I'll meet you guys there then."
"Yeah okay, but I still can't believe Joey would make me go out with him as a deal, I mean I wouldn't waste a sweet deal on that."
"Oh..., haha guess he wanted this from the beginning then."
"What? Then he should've just said so in the first place seeing that he's such a playboy."
"Even if he did ask you out would you go out with him?"
"Of course not! Why would i go out with a guy like him."
"Then you can see why he use this chance to make you be his slave while also having go it with him."
"Yeah...I admit he got me there, making me do what he says plus going out with him oh I'm so going to get him back."
"Haha...well good luck with that." I sure wouldn't want to get tangle in this situation.
"By the way, Kai asked you out for the deal, right? I never guess he would do that, I wonder why you don't think he might have feelings for do you?"
That last phrase made my heart speed quickly.
"N-no..., I doubt that I think he couldn't think of anything so he went with the other guys deal..."
Although I am curious on why he'd ask something like that, remembering him say those words still makes my heart beat fast.
"Well in any case lets just get this over with, the guys will get mad if we're late."
"Y-yeah, then I'm heading to meet you right now so see you then."
"Alright see ya." Beep!
Well I should get going, it's almost our meeting time, I went downstairs and saw my mom cooking breakfast as usual.
"Good morning mom."
"Good morning Elina, want breakfast."
"No thanks I'm heading out to meet my friends, we're going to meet the guys and eat."
"Oh, is it those guys you were talking about the other day what were their names again...Joey, Byron, and..."
"Kai. His name is Kai," I answered.
"Hm.. I see and is he the one your going out with."
''Uh..y-yeah something like that.."
Mom smiled, and said, "Well, have fun then and tell me all about it when you get back."
"I will," I said cheerfully then left.

I finally meet up with my friends at the front of the school and exchange a quick greeting then started walking our way to the cafe.
"Haha, it's funny how we all aren't wearing anything nice for a date but what we usually wear,"said Camille.
"I just wore what is comfortable although I was thinking on what to wear but just decided to wear my casual clothes,"I said.
"Yeah, same for me,"said Tara.
"So you like wearing nice dresses for your outings, although I can tell it suites you nicely, you look cute,"said Camille.
"Oh..uh..thanks...,"she replied.
We finally reached the cafe where the guys told us to meet and enter.
The cafe wasn't really that crowded but had quite a few customers, as we searched for the guys we hear someone shouted, "Hey over here." It was Joey waving his hand.
"Geez did he had to shout that loud there are many people here,"said Camille.
As we walked towards him, Byron and Kai were there waiting as well.
"Took you long enough, I was starting to get impatient,"said Joey.
"I'm sorry for being a little late but shouldn't have scheduled an early fat I mean who goes out at 7:00 in the morning!" Camille said sarcastically.
"I like to make it a full day date if you don't mind,"he replied mischievously.
"Humph! Yeah right I get the feeling you're trying to make me miserable,"she said.
"Now why would I do that, here have a seat next to me it wouldn't be a date if we're sitting apart."
I could tell that Camille was really irritated with him but putting that aside Kai looks no more than his usual self just that his clothes are differently casual. He looks at me and I felt myself blushing, why is this happening to me? He pulls out the chair next to him and said,"Sit here."
"Huh, oh..um..sure.."
I sat next to him but didn't know what to say next.
"Have you eaten,"asked Kai.
"Huh..,oh..not yet."
"Then lets all eat!" Joey said cheerfully.
The waitress came by and asked for our orders, then left us as we just sit quietly until our food arrives.
Everyone seems to be having a great time, Joey and Camille did most of the talking and Byron is talking little by little with Tara however Kai and I are mostly silent.
"Hey Kai, how come your not talking with your girlfriend you were the one who asked her out so why so silent,"said Joey.
"I only asked her because I didn't have anything better to do today,"he replied coldly.
"Wow so harsh sorry about that Elina he's not the social type you know."
"Oh, no it's fine I'm just glad to be here that's all."
"Oh really? Your too kind Elina I might as well ask you out next time seeing how nice and pretty you are, not a bad combination, what do you say Kai."
Kai stared at Joey like he was going to beat him up for saying those things.
"Hey, I'm just kidding, just thought I'd make you jealous guess it worked, haha."
Jealous? Kai's jealous? No way, but why? It's not like we're seriously going out but that look when he stared at Joey even if they were friends he looked vicious...
"So you were already going to heat on me, guess you are a playboy after all,"said Camille.
"Hey I was just joking,"replied Joey.
"Even if you were that still doesn't explain how you went out with many girls and dumping then later, that makes me sick I still have you know that I'm not going out with you because I'm like those girls, but because I'm keeping my end of the deal."
"Hey..., I might've gone out with a few girls but you don't have to get all mad about it."
"I'm mad because you're toying with other girls feelings!" Camille stands up from her chair then said,"I'm going to the restroom."
"Guess I pissed her off didn't I,"said Joey.
"Well yeah, you shouldn't blame her for it, it's you who needs to straighten up and stop being a playboy, try finding one who you would feel right being with,"said Byron.
"Yeah..., sure..." The waitress arrives with our food and we all ate after Camille joined us, she looked a little better after that conversation.
"I'll pay for it,"said Camille.
"What! Hey I said I'm going to pay for it didn't I,"said Joey.
"Yeah, is it a man's way to pay for the girl is that what you think."
"Yeah well it's a date so let me do it, also it can make up for that argument we just had."
Camille sighed then said,"Fine, but just so you know it doesn't change anything."
Joey smiled and said,"Right. But I just want you to be happy that's all."
"Huh..., why'd you do that."
"Because...I felt like it."
We all went out of the cafe after the guys started paying for us we girls didn't know what's going on next for our date.
"So, where we heading next?" Camille asked.
"Joey smiled and said, "You girls like roller coasters."
"Roller coaster?" We all said at the same time, then looked at each other.
Guess our dates are just getting started.
