Name: Valentine Oceanfall
Age: 16
Sex: Female
District: Six
Appearance: Val is a generally average-looking girl, though she couldn't be described as 'ugly'. Her chocolate hair falls to her shoulders, parted on the right side, and the shade of her eyes matches her hair perfectly. She's short for a girl her age, reaching to only about 5'4, and her arms and legs are stick-like and seem to have almost no fat on them. A few scars run across her arms, each one of them from childhood accidents. A few light freckles dot her face, and she is missing her left thumb.
Personality: Her ability to go unnoticed is Valentine's key to winning the Games. She doesn't tend to stick out much in a crowd, with her average looks and quiet demeanor, and no one ever pays any attention to her. She often acts like the innocent, pure girl everyone believes her to be, but she certainly is anything but that. While she isn't cruel like the Careers, she has her own form of menace, and uses her intellect to her advantage. She notices things easily, like a person's certain quirks, and remembers them so she can use them later. She is, however, scared very easily and once she gets scared, she tenses up and cannot fight. Val refuses to ever admit that she is wrong, even though she can be a lot of the time, and eventually that flaw could be deadly.
Background: Valentine grew up with one of the richer families of her District, living with two sisters, her parents, and her grandparents. For the first few years of her life, nothing too interesting or tragic happened, but after her mother lost her job and the family went low on food, both of her grandparents starved, only a week apart. After that winter life went on as normal, her mother got a new, better-paying job and her sister married the mayor's son. Val had a good education, but mostly hung out by herself and didn't talk to anyone, but when she turned twelve she found herself a nice friend named Alice. She lost her thumb in an accident that year, and it had to be amputated. She ended up getting a crush on one of the popular guys in school, but she realized what a jerk he was after he tripped her in the halls purposely, multiple times.
Reaped/Volunteered: Reaped
Strengths: Val is a sly and cunning person, not to mention that she has the perfect appearance and personality that she tends to go unnoticed. She's intelligent and pays a lot of attention to things that normally aren't noticed by others.
Weaknesses: She never admits that she's wrong, and focuses too much on getting revenge. She also isn't physically strong and doesn't have great pain tolerance.
Token: Sentimental objects from home was never really Val's thing.
