Lucy's P.O.V.
It was really scary how S.H.I.E.L.D. thought of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.
When I got to the locker room, I had found a locker with my last name on it.
The lockers had no locks on them, which I guess was a sign of trust. When I opened mine I found several pairs of running shorts, sports bras, as well as an assortment of tee shirts and tank tops. In the very bottom was a pair of Nike running shoes. After changing my clothes and shoes, I was ready to go.
I walked out into the training room. It had been a long time since I had done any sort of formal training. I was in pretty good shape, but the last time I had seriously trained had been with Hydra.
Hydra had mostly focused on mental training, but had also done some physical training as well.
I walked over to the punching bags. I put on a pair of gloves that I found nearby to protect my hands. They were way too big, but they would still work.
I picked out the smallest pair I could find, which was still bigger than the ones I had used with Hydra. All well, at least I didn't have to worry about breaking my fists.
Thump! My fist collides with the punching bag. A split second later my other fist joins it. I start to get into a rhythm.
Thump-thump. Thump-thump. Thump-thump. I keep going and before long I'm covered in sweat, but I don't care. I'm completely absorbed in the task at hand.
That's probably why I wasn't warned that Steve was coming.
"You know," Steve said as he approached me.
I suddenly whip around as I'm caught off guard by his presence."Woah," Steve says. "I'm not here to hurt you."
"Sorry, you just caught me off guard," I say.
"I thought that you would be able to tell if I was coming?" Steve says."Yeah, I usually can, I was just a little bit distracted," I say gesturing towards the punching bag.
"Anyway," Steve said. "I was watching you and I noticed-"
I cut him off. "Watching me? That's not creepy."
Steve blushed. "I wasn't trying to be creepy, I just noticed that your technic is off."
"Oh," I said.
"See, if you just moved your arms in a little more," he said as he gently guided my arms where he thought they should be.
"And turn you hips like this," he said. I resisted the urge to gasp as he placed his hands on my hips and turned them.
"That should be much better," Steve said.
"Uh, ok. Thank you," I said.
"Not a problem," he replied. "You know, I could help you train if you want."
"That would be nice," I said.
"Of course, it would take a lot of time out of my day," he said. "So maybe we could make a deal."
"What kind of deal?" I asked curiously.
"Let's say that I help you train for an hour or so each day, and in exchange you... go on a date with me," he said, blurting out the last part.
