Loki's P.O.V.

I sat on my throne pondering the message I had just received. I wasn't sure what to think. Was it a trap? I didn't know.

I was surrounded by guards, but none of them would ever suspect that I wasn't the All-Father, thanks to the illusion.

It was difficult to constantly have an illusion up, but if anyone found out I was actually Loki they would cast me into the dungeons immediately.

When Thor had come to the dungeons seeking my help six months ago, I had seen it as a golden opportunity. A chance to find the freedom I deserved.

I had faked my death using another one of my illusions. I was surprised that Thor hadn't figured it out. He never was too bright though.

After Thor left I had return to Asgard disguised as a guard. I wasn't sure what my plan had been. I had wanted Odin to think I was dead, so that he wouldn't search for me.

I had informed Odin of the "death" of his son. Unfortunately the death of his son had been to much for him, and he slipped into Odin Sleep.

I had hidden him away so that no one would find him. I had always wanted the throne. Why not take advantage of this glorious chance?

Odin had died shortly after, since Frigga hadn't been there to help him recover. It was a pity really.

When Thor returned and informed "Odin" that he didn't want the throne, it had worked out perfectly. I was the king of Asgard and no one had a clue.

Except Heimdall. I had expected him to figure it out though. I simply threatened him into keeping quiet. It was very easy to manipulate others.

I had to be on guard now. A messenger had come only minutes ago to inform me that Thor would be returning to Asgard with a friend.

Who was this friend? Was it Jane? Probably not. Thor would have simply said he was bringing Jane if that was the case.

One of the avengers? Possibly. Which one would Thor think he needed to bring to Asgard though?

There was a good chance it was a trap. I was difficult to trick though. I was the God of lies and mischief after all.

"Tell my son that I am delighted that he wishes to return home. And tell him that his guest is most welcome here," I told the messenger.

"Yes your majesty," the messenger said. He then promptly walked away.

I would have to make sure everything was in order for Thor's visit. He had known fath- no I can't think that word. He had known Odin well. I had to make sure there was no reason for him to be suspicious.

Or his "friend". Whoever they were. I had no idea who he would be bringing, so it would be difficult to prepare for them.

"I'll be ready," I mumbled to myself, careful to make sure none of the guards could here me.

Author's note: Yay Loki! Don't worry there will be plenty more of him to come! I apologize that it's so short. At least I updated in time:)
Until next time,
~Emma
