Lucy's P.O.V.

I looked over my appearance in the mirror. Steve would be here soon. I wanted to make sure I looked perfect.

Natasha was currently helping me wth my hair. She was using a curling iron to curl my hair into ringlets. It looked absolutely incredible. I was so grateful that she was helping me.

Natasha had told me that we were going somewhere pretty fancy. I didn't have any dresses in my wardrobe, so Natasha let me borrow one of her's. She had also promised to take me shopping soon.

I was wearing a knee length yellow dress with cap sleeves. It was really pretty.

I was super excited for tonight. At the same time it made me sad. I would only get to spend one night with Steve. Then I would leave for Asgard.

I had never been there before. That I knew of anyway. Even though Bruce had run the DNA test, I still didn't know who my father was.

When I was younger, I would have given anything to know who my father was. Now, I wasn't so sure I wanted to meet him.

Why had he not told my mother who he was? Why had he not been there when I was born? I wasn't sure I wanted to know the answers.

I was going to figure it all out soon enough though. Whether I wanted to know or not.

Someone knocked from the other side of the door. I closed my eyes and I knew it was Steve.

My heart started to pound in my chest. Why was I so nervous? It wasn't like I had never spent any time with Steve.

Natasha put down the curling iron. "That'll have to do for tonight," she said smiling.

Then she walked over and opened the door. Steve walked in and I stood up. His mouth fell open and he seemed to forget how to close it.

"You look incredibly beautiful!" he exclaimed.

"You look very nice as well," I said smiling.

Steve was wearing a dark blue suit with black shoes. He looked great, as usual.

"Shall we?" he asked, offering me his arm.

"Yes," I say taking his arm.

"Have fun you two. Don't stay out too late," Natasha says smiling.

We walk out the door and start to walk through the maze that's an excuse for a S.H.I.E.L.D. base.

After a while we reach some elevators and we take one up.

We end up in a parking garage, and Steve escorts me over to a mustang.

"A mustang?" I ask. It didn't really cross me as Steve's type of car.

"It's Tony's," Steve says. "He let me borrow it."

"Oh," I say. That makes more sense.

Steve opens the passenger side for me and shuts the door after I've climbed in. Such a gentleman.

Steve gets in the drivers side and before long we're out in the city.
