Chapter 23 // Ms. Steal your girl

Adrianna wasn't able to hear any of the gun machines shooting everywhere around her. She was only able to hear her own heavy breathing, her heart beat that was going out of control, and her own quiet singing.

"Hush, little baby. Don't say a word. Mama's going to buy you a mocking bird.

And if that mocking bird won't sing, Mama's going to buy you a diamond ring.

If that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's going to buy you a looking glass.

If that looking glass gets broke, Mama's going to buy you a billy goat.

If that billy goat won't pull, Mama's going to buy you a cart and bull.

If that cart and bull turns over, Mama's going to buy a dog named Rover.

If that dog named Rover won't bark, Mama's going to buy you a horse and cart

If that horse and cart falls down, You'll still be the sweetest one in town."

Her pale hands tightened around Derek's strong arm as her blue eyes were looking all around the smokey, dark room.

"Adrianna?" Derek yelled her name for the 10th time when he realized she stopped singing and was looking everywhere with a weird look on her but she snapped out of her thoughts.

"You okay?" His usual annoyed and rough voice was now soft and filled with worried.

"Yeah." She replied to him hesitantly when she pulled away from his arm, now finally able to hear all around her surroundings.

Derek looked behind Adrianna to see an Assassin pointing his gun towards the blonde's head. His green eyes were wide while he wrapped his arms around her and moved her out of the way quickly. Aiming his gun directly at the stranger and instantly killed him.

Derek looked down to see Adrianna with her eyes tightly shut. Before he was able to do anything else - all of the shooting stopped and all the assassins started to leave the place. Well, all the assassins that were still alive at least.

"It's finally ove-" Derek tried to whisper to the blonde but she quickly wrapped her arms around him, embracing him in a tight and grateful hug.

Derek was shocked at her actions but quickly wrapped his arms around her with a tiny smile plastered onto his lips.

They both pulled away only to see all their supernatural friends to come out from wherever they were. Adrianna ran over to the tanned boy that was dirtied by blood and embraced him in a hug, not caring about it staining her.

"We're finally safe?" Adrianna whispered softly while Scott placed a long sweet kiss on her temple.

Michael awkwardly watched them from a distance with a stern look on his face. He was obviously not liking it at all and he was obviously completely jealous.

"Yeah, we're safe now." Scott whispered into her ear but then turned his head to the side slightly to see Michael staring directly at them.
