The girl who's lies only got bigger, but deep inside they only got smaller as time went by.  There is a very dainty girl that lives in her apartment and promised five years ago, when her dad died, to never lie.  But who knows?  Don't we all lie?  Maybe we're all living a lie.  But you never know until the truth comes and kicks you in the butt.

Jessica, the dainty and weak girl was toggling down the street with her right leg dragging and her head held down.  Rain was pouring on her head that she held down so shamelessly, but deep inside she knew she was proud of the lies she was living.  If lying was the only life she knew, what was the truth to Jessica; only she feared the truth?  Today was a particularly odd day for her.  She was going to school, which she only did every once in awhile.  Jessica didn't like facing the teachers and her peers.  What would she tell them, she just wanted to hide in the corner in the back.   She knew that someday she would have to conquer it but she hoped it wasn't today.

Jessica was late for school like she was every time that she went.  It was even worse that she had to drag her leg, making her later.  How could she explain her dragging?  She thought very carefully and told herself over and over that she knew how to cover it, it wasn't the first.

She walked in the room humiliated, trying to cover up her rosy red cheeks.  "Good morning Jessica" Mrs.Kim said as if she was pushing the question of, where were you.  Jessica sat down at her desk calmly and shyly as every single kid in the class was staring at her.  "Jessica I need to see you after class."  Now she was even more embarrassed then usual.  To her, the class went by slow and painfully; she didn't like this kind of attention from the class nor the teacher.

The bell rang at 12 after ten and she knew she had to see the teacher.  Jessica attempted to walk out of the classroom casually, it didn't work.  "Remember Jessica, we need to talk." She knew it was coming.  "You barely come to class every other day and it's getting worse each week."  Mrs.Kim said in a calm but strict manner.  "You have to get on a regular schedule."  The only reason Jessica never came to school was because she lived a lie.  She knew the truth but was afraid it would slip.  She feared for her and her mothers life, who knew what HE would do.

After the last bell of the day - which meant the students could go home - Jessica rushed out of the school  with her head down, not acknowledging anyone.  She always walked home because she could hear the fainted voices in the back of the bus talking about her, which made her even more uncomfortable at school.
