A week later I was still on bar work with the twins. Today it was just me and Logan. Logan and I had become a lot closer in the past week. He started to take a small dosage of antidepressants and was going to therapy. Even though it had only happened a week ago Logan seemed happier. He told more jokes and was just happy. I was pulled out of my thoughts by a mom yelling at her child for spilling his drink all over the bar.

"It's ok ma'am." I said as I cleaned up the spilt soda.

"Thanks. Sorry he's just learning how to drink from something besides a sippy cup." She said trying to clean off her son.

"It's ok I understand." I said remembering what Elizabeth was like right before her 2nd birthday trying to drink from cups.

"Do you have children?" She asked me.

"No my sister had a baby and I helped out with her." I said refilling the cup.

"Oh ok. Do you have any tips then?" She asked me.

"Use the small Dixie cups. And let him try by himself." I said.

"Thanks I'll try that." She said as I walked away.

"What was that about?" Logan asked.

"Oh nothing just gave her a tip on how to get her son to use normal cups without spilling." I said. As the day went on I kept feeling my phone go off. I figured it was just Tiffany sending me random things like she did everyday. When Logan and I went on break I saw I had 10 missed calls from my mom. Logan I liked to sit on a step by the back door of the diner. As I hit play on the message I felt a lump form in my throat.

"Sarah please pick up your phone! Nick was in a car accident and is now in the hospital. He's hurt really bad Sarah." My mom said. That's when I froze. The phone fell from my hands and I felt tears flooding.

"Sarah? Sarah! Sarah say something what's wrong?!?" Logan yelled shaking me. I crumbled into him and started to sob.

"My best friend was in a car accident an isn't doing well I need to go home Logan I need to go home!" I yelled as I sobbed.

"Mom! MOM!" I heard Logan yelling as Jen came running.

"What's wrong?" She asked before she saw me. "What happened baby girl you need to speak to me." Jen said taking me from Logan's arms. I didn't speak I just cried.

"Her friend was in a car accident and isn't doing to well." Logan explained I could hear his voice shaking.

"I need I go home!" I sobbed into Jen's shoulder.

"Ok baby girl. Logan take her back to her place and help her pack. I'll order her a plane ticket offline as soon as possible. Where's her phone?" She asked placing me back into Logan's arms. When she found her phone she called my mom.

"Hi Mrs. Brown. I'm Jen Sarah works for me at the diner. Yeah she isn't taking the news very well my son is going to take her home and help her pack. I'm going to book her a flight can you just tell me all her infermation." Jen said into the phone.

"Shhh Sarah shhh. It's all going to be ok. Everything is going to be ok." Logan said rocking me back and forth. I started to think of everything that had happened between Nick and I. We had been best friends since birth. He was my first boyfriend and my first kiss. He was my whole life. I started to sob even harder and started to scream.

"WHY!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!" I screamed into Logan's stomach.

"Sarah come on we need to get you home to pack." Logan said picking me up. We walked into the back room and got my keys and bag. Logan never put me down even as we walked through the diner.
