The Aftermath

When I woke up I reached to turn my phone on. Sure enough my Facebook and twitter had at least 50 notifications each. I didn't want to read how dumb, fat, ugly, stupid, and how I was a liar. I did have 5 text from Niall asking how I was. I didn't know what to so I just said I don't known. Soon enough my phone rang it was Niall.

"Hi princess." He said sounding sad.

"Hi." I said trying to clean up my face.

"Are you ok Sarah?" He asked me.

"I don't know Niall I really don't." I said as I heard my voice shake.

"Sarah please don't cry. I don't want you to go through this." He said.

"I'm all cried out Niall I just couldn't take it anymore." I said looking at my new cuts.

"Sarah what did you do?" He asked sounding worried.

"I cut again." I said feeling ashamed.

"Sarah please don't let them get to you where you have to do that to yourself. Please Sarah please." He said as his voice began to shake.

"Niall it just gets so hard sometimes. That's my only escape." I said sniffling.

"Sarah please I just found you, I don't want to loose you." Niall said and I could tell he was crying. Just then I heard talking in the background.

"Sarah I have to go. I will call you in between sets, and then afterwards.

"Ok bye Niall." I said hanging up.

When he hung up I heard my sister come in. There was no way I wanted to deal with people. As I rolled over to sleep again I heard Jackie talking with Elizabeth as Elizabeth called for my dog. As I fell asleep I kept hoping I didn't have to wake up again. When I woke up at 7:30 I decided to go downstairs. As I reached the last few steps I heard Elizabeth yelling for me. When I came into the living room she ran and gave my legs a hug. As I picked her up she gave me a hug.

"We'll there she is! My loving sister who tells me nothing!" Jackie yells at me.

"Jackie I can't take this right now ok! I have heard about how I'm a liar and how stupid I am ok I don't need it from you too!" I yell trying to keep my voice steady.

"Sarah I didn't mean to yell. I'm just a little upset that I had to hear about your new boyfriend from my coworker. That's all." She said walking into the kitchen to grab a soda.

"Well it only happened yesterday. I only told mom and dad. I didn't even tell Nick yet." I said putting Elizabeth back on the floor. When I walked by a mirror I saw how bad I looked. My hair was falling out of my bun, and I had make up all over my face. As I walked into the kitchen I grabbed a wet paper towel and cleaned off my makeup.

Jackie and I grabbed sodas and headed to the living room to watch tv. When I sat on the couch my phone rang. I was getting a FaceTime call from Niall.

"Hi princess!" He said smiling.

"Hi Niall." I said forcing a smile onto my face.

"A few people wanted to say hi I hope that's ok!" Niall said.

"Niall come on give us the phone we want to say hi!" I heard someone yell in the background.

"Ok Harry give me a minute." Niall said passing the phone from boy to boy. They all said how sorry they were for what I was going through. None of them knew my secret.

Just then Elizabeth came running over to my seat. As I pulled her up Jackie came back into the room.

"Who are you talking to?" She asked.

"Niall, and the rest of the boys on FaceTime. Wanna say hi?" I asked handing her the phone.

"Hi Niall I'm Sarah's sister Jackie." She said.

"Hello Jackie. Nice to meet you." Niall said as Jackie handed me my phone back. Before I could grab it Elizabeth grabbed the phone.

"Elizabeth give me my phone please." I said taking it.

"Niall this in my niece Elizabeth." I said.

"Hi Elizabeth! " Niall said making funny faces into the camera

"Hello!" Elizabeth said.

"2 minuets till you guys need to get on stage!" Someone yelled.

"I have to go but I'll call you later for a surprise!" Niall said.

"Ok bye Niall" I said hitting the end button.

At 9 o'clock everyone was home. When my mom came home from the gym she ran over to me on the couch

"Oh little bear I'm so sorry. This must be so hard on you." She said as she pulled me into a hug.

"I'll be fine mom. I promise Niall and I talked about it earlier" I said hugging her back. As she walked up the steps to say hi to everyone else I got a text from Nick

'I'm outside.' Was all it said. As I walked out of my house I felt the late October air hit my face.

"Hi." I said pulling the hoodie I had stolen from him closer around me.

"So when were you going to tell me about you and pretty boy." He said seeming angry with me.

"I wasn't gonna tell anyone for awhile. I didn't want anyone hating on me like they are now. And his name is Niall." I said sitting down.

"I'm your best friend though Sarah! I should have known first!" He said yelling at me.

"Well would you have believed me? Do you know what I have been through today?! I have been through hell! And I don't need you yelling at me!" I said getting up.

"No Sarah please don't go! I'm sorry I'm just hurt that you didn't tell me first." He said.

"Nick I'm sorry I didn't tell you like I said it happened yesterday. I wasn't ready for this to happen." I said walking over to him.

"It's ok. Sorry I yelled. I just don't want you to get hurt." Nick said as he pulled me in for a hug. As we talked for a little bit Nick and I started to joke until 10:30 when his mom called and asked where he was. As we hugged goodbye I felt happy again
