The Blue Money case had no suspects. There was absolutely no way to trace the culprit, as he or she never left a single clue. Gevanni and Rester were looking for leads.

Today it seemed like they had found one.

"I used a program to trace most of the thefts." Gevanni drew his mouse over the screen. "The remaining ones are untraceable."

"Look for patterns." Near twisted his curly, white hair.

Gevanni nodded as he left the main room to work in his main office. Rester was left alone with the young man, who shared his insight on the case with him.

"Accuso operates in a similar manner to the 'Blue Money' culprit. If there is a lead on the times that the crimes are committed, we can track the perpetrator quicker."

"Why do you suspect the person is involved with Blue Money? Why use the Death Note , too?"

"Remember that the Death Note can control the victims before their deaths. By using the Death Note, Accuso can gain wealth while operating as Kira. It's up to Lidner and Gevanni to find the patterns. Once that is done," Near snapped the toy robot that he was playing with. "We can locate the main bank account. I think you get the rest..."

Rester sighed. "It looks like you'll have this case solved in no time. What should I do?"

Near smiled. "I need you to fly with me to Japan. It seems some old friends of ours' would like to speak." It was common for Rester to fly with Near, since the young man had never traveled by himself before.

"Alright."

"Sidoh....can you tell me L's real name?"

The shinigami was shaking. "I-I can't tell you that. It's forbidden for shinigami to give out the names of other humans."

"Who made up that dumb rule? It's my right to know; I am Kira, after all." Accuso pouted.

"If I were you, I wouldn't say that out loud. Ryuk told us about how the original Kira was reckless like that." Sidoh sighed. "Can I have my notebook back, please?"

"We've been over this, Sidoh! It's all mine!" They cackled. "Besides, I operate differently than the other Kira. I kill criminals with no family whatsoever. Plus, I'm practically untraceable, since I kill them at different hours of the day. Good luck catching me, L!"

Sidoh sighed. I should do what Ryuk does, and keep my Death Note locked to my waist.

"Beep!" A noise came from the corner of the room.

"Is that my computer, or my microwave? I can never tell..." Accuso rolled over to their computer, the screen blinking red.

"A 'virus'. Splendid." Accuso laughed. "Actually, it's the deposit. Thank you very much, Mr. Criminal guy."

"Is that your latest victim? He looks familiar..." Sidoh moved closer to the computer. He gasped. "That's a celebrity! You're using a celebrity to turn the money to this account?"

"Why not? They'll die in 14 days, so I need to use them while I can. They killed other actors for a role. I'm doing the world a favour, aren't I?"

"I don't know how humans work. I'm going to see if an unlucky shinigami dropped their notebook, so I can kill you."

"Aw, Sidoh! I didn't know you loved me that much!" Accuso laughed as they blew a kiss to the shinigami.

Sidoh was long tired of this crap.

January, 2016.

Gevanni discovered odd movements in the Blue Money case. A celebrity deposited the same amount stolen a week before. The same thing occurred with a politician, then a doctor, practically anyone who was rich. This would seem normal to most, considering the fact that they were rich; these deposits could most likely be their recent check.

There was another connection, though.

After depositing the large sums of money, the upperclassmen seemed to disappear from the world completely. Or, the wealthy humans would die peacefully in their sleep to their family's disbelief.

Was this the work of the Death Note?

Gevanni reported his findings to Near. In response to the deaths of the rich, L ordered that all of the rich operate under aliases. This was hard to arrange for most of the people, for they were well known people. Changing their names suddenly would cause doubt and confusion to the public. It would be clear that this was done against Kira.

The once dormant Kira websites targeted L because of this. "It's obvious that they're all under aliases. You can't clear someone's previous identity completely; it's impossible." This was written across many of the Kira websites. The changing of the upperclassmen's name was ridiculous, but eventually they could all be protected.

How do you know that someone's name truly is theirs?

It's simple.

You don't.
