March 1, 1972 12:45 p.m.
"Raymond?" I croak. I feel a hand holding mine. I open my eyes. But I can't see! I start to panic. "I can't see anything! Help me! Help me!" I cry, and I suddenly remember Jesus. Jesus. That name sends comfort through my body."Esther? Are you alright?" Raymond says worriedly. I smile.
"I'm fine. Now." I sigh. I feel a lump in my throat. I move my hand, and find a tube. A beeping is in my ears, too. "What happened?" I ask.
"I...I don't know myself." Raymond replies. I squeeze his hand. Then I say something that I never would have expected to say. I feel a tugging at my heart when I say this.
"Can you help me become a Christian?" I ask. I feel Raymond's happiness. Then I feel him gently tug me towards him. He wraps an arm around me in a hug. I hug him back. I feel his lips press on my cheek.
"Sure I'll help you." he says. I hold his hand, ready to accept Jesus. But then a wild beeping reaches me. Then silence. Then light.
