Chapter Three

I'm awoken by the annoying sound of my alarm. I sigh and get out of my bed to get ready, when I open my closet to get some of my clothes I realise that I don't have any cute clothes for my date with Riley friday, and today is Thursday so I have to go to day.

I quick move downstairs to get some breakfast, I decide on having toast and I'm soon out the door to have Aly pick me up. When she does, I tell her about my date and how I don't have an outit, she seems happy that I am going on a date and she says she'll take me to the mall after schools out.

The day seemed to go by fast and before you know it i'm in Aly's car again on the way to the mall.

"So like what outfit are you thinking of, i'm thinking something HOT! Not just for your date but maybe for the party Ash and his band mates are playing at." Aly says.

"Oh yeah I almost forgot about the party on Saturday oh my god yeah i'll have to get something for that too!" I tell her. Wow it almost slipped my mind  about Ashton's band party this weekend I really do need a good outfit I would really love to impress his new mates.

As we step into the mall I notice a sale going on at Forever21 and we decide to go there first. As i'm looking I notice that the sale isn't much off and I didn't bring a lot of money.

"Cass, don't worry about it I'll cover it my treat" Aly says to me as if she read my mind.

"Really? Thank you so much" I tell her as I give her a quick hug.

I'm looking around the rack when a shirt catches my eye, it's a cute dolman top with a see-though lace sleeve. I show Aly and she thinks it would look hot with some black leggings because they'd show off my curves so she picks out a pair and pushes me into the dressing rooms. When I turn around and see my refection I am amazed. Aly was right these pants do look amazing and show off my curves, even though I have never really thought I had the "best" body but I do have nice curves and good legs.

As I step out of the dressing room Aly's face expression appeared just as mine was when I looked in the mirror.

"You're SO getting that Outfit! Damn Girl! Riley Will LOVE It you look AMAZING" She practically yells.

I blush a bit and thank her for not only complementing me but for paying for this it wasn't that expensive but it wasn't cheep either. She tells me to stop thanking her because it's not a big deal. When we exit the store I realise something

"Aly," I speak "I didn't get an outfit for the party on Saturday!"

"Oh yeah um don't worry about it you can use one of my party dresses" She says and I give her an okay and for the rest of the drive we mostly stay quite and flip through the radio stations to find any good songs.

By the time Aly pulls into my road its almost eight, we spent almost all day at the mall trying on clothes and shoes which Aly got numerous pairs of. I thank her again for everything as I get out of the car. When I walk in and notice a car but It's not familiar, I go through the kitchen and notice a few baking things out and some brownies on a plate. I shove a brownie into my mouth as I put my bags and book on the table I walk into our living room  and see my mother and... a guy? Cuddling on the couch watching movies? 

"...Uh mom?" I half whisper

"OH OH MY GOD, Cassie! I wasn't expecting you until latter!" She shouts as she throws the blanket off her and stands up with her date looking quite shocked and confused.

"Um uh well Sorry? Me and Aly were jus-" I try to explain but she cuts me off,

"Oh okay well It's fine uh Cassie this is my uh Boyfriend... Josh. Josh this is my daughter Cass" My mother awkwardly says obviously unprepared of my return.

I shake his hand and we tell each other hello and he says  it was very nice to meet me but he must go so he collects his jacket and keys and he gives my mom a soft kiss on the cheek. They say their goodbyes and after he leaves she turns to me expecting me to say something but I don't I just awkwardly give her a small smile and start heading up the stairs to my room but she speaks.

"I'm sorry Cass I should have told you he was coming over later but you didn't come home and you never called me after you texted me saying you were out with Aly, I just assumed you'd be here... A bit later. I'm sorry I was hoping you'd meet later on when you were...expecting it" As she says that, it reminds me that I haven't talked to Ashton all day.

"Um..it's fine I guess he seems... well nice... and better, than the others...."  I say not really knowing of what else to say.

"Yeah he really is I would really like for all of us to hang out some time"

"Sure yeah, that would be great" She ignores the sarcasm in my voice. I tell her some of my plans for the weekend and she seems pretty happy for me and tells me that her and Josh are going to his house this weekend so she can meet his parents and she won't be back until Sunday afternoon. I nod and tell her I'm going to start going to bed since now it is almost ten and I'm exhausted.

After I brush my teeth I call Ashton.

"Hey Cass!" I can picture his smile through the phone.

"Hey Ashton, Um I have a question, What time should Aly and I be at the party on Saturday?"

"Erm, Probably around six-ish maybe aha"

"Oh okay I'm really excited to meet your friends and hear you guys play!"

"I know i'm so glad you're coming and I know you will like 'em they're really funny guys Cass"

We carry on our conversation until I am about to fall asleep I apoligize for having to end the  call but  he says it's fine and he can't wait to hang out on Saturday night.
