The way his arms wrapped securely around my waist made all those little sparks elight throughout me, the way his fingers tangle in my hair showing nothing but tenderness as if he was afraid that I'd break in his presence. His soft lips gently grazing against the skin of my forehead, the tenderness of his naked body against mine, my eyes were closed while concentrating on his touch.

"I love you" I hear his whisper in the darkness of my world, only he could make my lips curl up into a smile. The way he says it ensures me that he's telling the truth.

"I love you too." I say it back, feeling his arms slightly tighten around my waist. We both knew that soon he'd have to leave, I let out a sigh as Alex guided my head to his chest. "I don't want you to leave." I whisper, gently nuzzling my face into the crook of his neck.

"I know, baby. Neither do I, but I need to go see Lynn and the others." The way he said it was so smooth like sweet warm honey melting on the tip of your tongue.

I opened my eyes, seeing nothing but darkness. Slowly sitting up from our laying position in Alex's bed, my fingers fumbled around on his nightstand. I felt a soft hand wrap around my wrist gently, as if I was a fragile flower in the palm of his hands. I felt something cool touch my face, knowing the all too familiar frames.

"I hate that I can't see you." I sighed, feeling Alex slip my bra onto my chest as if he had done it a thousand times before. He sat quietly while he helped me get dressed, he knew how much it upset me to not being able to see him.

I wasn't born blind, something happened when I was younger which cause me to become blind. Alex and I had been friends since we were only 18 months old, I still remember his blonde hair in kindergarten.

Once I was dressed, Alex helped me up off the bed, his fingers encircling some strands of my hair against my shoulders.

"I promise you'll see again." He whispered so faintly that I almost missed it. His lips pressed against my forehead, lingering for a moment before we both pull apart.

My arms finding their way around his waist while his carefully wrapped around my neck, I sighed. "Can't we just stay in bed?" I said, Alex's laugh sounding in my ears as it made my heart swell.

"I wish. Tomorrow baby." He said gently, making me smile at the name that he used.

Alex led me out of my second home down to his car. He was taking me back to my parents house, as I stayed with them when he wasn't home. When I say 'parents' I mean my mom and my stepdad, he's not as nice as I thought.

My father, he passed away when I was sixteen making it even harder for me to cope. My dad was the one who was more supportive on the things that I do, he was also my best friend at the time. It hurt more since I don't know what he actually looked like before he passed, Alex was by my side through it all, keeping me out of the darkest of all places.

"Are you coming over tonight?" I asked once I was sure that Alex was definitely in the car.

"After band practice I'll be over, I might be a little late so don't wait up, okay?" I jutted my bottom lip out a little as I nodded slowly at him.

The ride was silent, his hand gently resting on my thigh as I heard his light tapping on the steering wheel with his other hand, the summer breeze against my face from the window being down felt amazing. I didn't care if I looked like an idiot for smiling too much, I was just happy that I was with Alex in this exact moment.

It was all too soon when the car came to a hault, Alex cutting the engine while he got out to walk around to my side and help me out. My arm looped through his, we both steadily made our way up to the front of my house, Alex must have used his key to get in.
