A few weeks ago we were supposed to star tour, a few weeks ago Alex was in a car crash.

I looked over at myself in the mirror, I was tired. I tugged my hairbrush through the tangles, Angel stood in the doorway. Watching as I brushed.

"Are you ready?" She asked as I put my hairbrush down onto my bed, I let out a deep breath as I nodded.

Angel gave a light smile as she held out her hand to me, I took it squeezing gently as she lead me downstairs.

It was raining, so many people were here. Everyone in black, I let out a quiet sigh as I pulled myself out of the car. The grass was so green compared to some parts, I walked hand-in-hand with Angel. Afraid that if she let go, I'd have to deal with this myself.

I saw Jill standing, talking to people. Returning the hugs, I made my way over to her. Swallowing the lump that started forming in the back of my throat.

"I'm so sorry." I croaked out, she pulled me into a tight hug as I hugged her back. "It's not your fault." She whispered.

Nothing seemed to be going right for these past few weeks. I sniffled gently as I nodded.

After the ceremony I said my goodbyes to Jill and got back in the car with Angel. The car ride was quiet, I was watching out the window as the trees blurred by.

I got out the car and thanked Angel before turning around to walk into the building in front of me. I took the long way up which was the stairs to collect my thoughts together.

"How are you today?" A lady asked as she walked next to me.

"Like crap." I little laugh. "I attended a funeral today, I was close to them." I looked over to the lady, she wasn't young, but she wasn't old.

Frown lines appeared on her face as she looked at me. "I'm sorry to hear that darling." I nodded lightly.

I opened the door on the second floor. "You can go first." She smiled, I thanked her, but when I walked through no one was there. The lady was no where.

I slightly got a chill throughout my body, I shrugged it off and made my way to the reception, I was given a pass to enter.

I walked into the room to see Alex still in the same position as he was a couple of weeks ago, the wounds on his face were slowly fading each week.

I took a seat on the chair that I kept at his bed, taking his left hand in mine. "Today was tough, just like any other day without you here." I held his hand to my cheek, it was still warm.

"I need you to wake up for me, seeing you like this.. it kills me." A few tears fell down my cheeks, a couple touching his hand.

I looked at his face, he looked so peaceful. "Your grandma, her funeral was today." I bit my lip gently. "She looked beautiful, an open casket. So many people, and there were a lot of beautiful flowers."

I sniffled gently as I placed his hand back on the bed, Alex had a lot of cards, flowers and pictures from people and our fans.

A new card caught my eye, it hadn't been opened yet. I picked it up, on the back it had the date for today. I opened it as I sat back down, pulling the black and white card out of the envelope.

Alex, it's been a while since I saw your face, it's great to have seen you grow up into a young man, saving thousands of lives with the songs you make.
You've made me so proud, I know I don't show it much, but I am so proud of you. You never gave up the dream that you were chasing at a young age.
