My mom and I decided to have a girls day, lunch and shopping. The only two things we'd do together when I wasn't touring with the guys. The mall wasn't as busy as it usually was mostly because people were at work right now making money to support their families.

I wanted go glance around in Hot Topic since it was in fact my old work that I used to spend my time in. As I entered I saw one of my old work colleagues standing at the back sorting through some of my band's merch. I told my mom that I would only be a second, quietly walking up behind Rachel, I gently grabbed her shoulders which she quickly spun around to look at me.

"Lynn? Oh my God! It's been so long!" Rachel laughed and hugged me tightly, I was returning my hug.

"I know! I'm sorry, how are things?" I ask as we pull away from each other, she shifts and that's when I notice the badly makeup covered bruised eye.

"It's been alright, sucks that you left but hey! Well done on the band, knew you could do it." She gave me a smile and I pulled her back into a hug again.

"I'd love to catch up again. Could I get your number so I can text you?" I ask, worry spreads across her face as she looks past me. "Rachel?"

"Oh sorry, what was that?" She mumbles, I look behind me-seeing no one was there. "Your number?"

Rachel began to tell me her number that she knew by heart, as she finished talking she went silent. "How are things really?" I ask, keeping my voice low.

"Like shit ever since you left." She kept her voice low-afraid if anyone over heard. "Text me later and I'll text you it." She mumbled before she hugged me again.

"I need to carry on with work, but it was really nice seeing you!" She gave one of those sad smiles to me, you know the ones that reach your lips but not your eyes? I nodded towards her before saying goodbyes.

For the next few hours I had spent at least two-hundred dollars worth of clothing for our tour that was coming up. Once we were sure that we were done with shopping, we made our way back to my mom's car. I placed our bags into the back of the car and proceeded to get in the passenger seat once I was sure that nothing would fall over and go all over the car.

"I'm going to miss you and everyone else." I let out a laugh as my mom glanced over at me.

"Mom, it's only for a few weeks. I'll be home before you know it." I reached over the console and gently squeezed her hand. "Besides, you have dad to keep you on your feet." I laughed again as she mumbled don't remind me under her breath.

I lightly shook my head as I looked out of the car window, the way the trees went by in a blur only reminded me of how fast life would go by. However the trees also reminded me of how my head was like, a blur-even a mess.

I sighed as I looked back over to my mom, the thought of leaving her and my family again made my stomach turn, I loved touring but being so far from home and only seeing them for a while made it more worse than it had to be. I couldn't stop touring because I needed the money to live my life, I needed it to keep the clothes on my back and the food on the table, I couldn't rely on my mom for the rest of my life.

Just as I glanced up to the traffic lights, it immediately cut to red, screams filled the car as it collided with another. I felt my body being torn from my seat and out through the window, my body was numb and I could only move my head as I lay on the concrete ground and took my surroundings in-I knew that my time had come before the lights went out.
