So, I'll admit it; since starting at a new school, I've been really, really lonely. And, if you probably noticed, with that loneliness I struggled with getting motivation.

Motivation to get out of bed. Motivation to actually write new chapters to my works on here. Motivation to do my homework in my own house. Motivation to practice the piano (I'm a pianist, by the way). Motivation to fill out important paperwork. That motivation I had for these obligations was practically nonexistent.

I was basically this lump of existence who sat there, curled up and hibernating in a nest of warm blankets that protected me from the cold and negativity that surrounded me. I still am, but I do move around whenever I can rather than when I'm told to.

In short, being lonely and unmotivated is not a good combination to have at all. I still struggle with it, but I think that motivation is slowly coming back. Yay!

Well, while I pondered and pondered, this idea came into my mind!

An semi-original idea that actually popped up into my unmotivated, sleep-deprived brain? NO WAY!!

So here it is!

Summary: A girl with a red umbrella takes her daily walk down the road in the rain. She walks through the usual crowd of people, miserable and on their way to their 9-5 routine, holding their usual grey/black umbrellas. She tries to communicate with them, but they ignore her and/or give a negative response as they keep walking. Suddenly, she has an idea. She takes out her Sharpie marker and a Post-it note and draws a smiley face. She then passes it on to a young boy passing by (student) with a grey umbrella. He just stares at her in confusion as he keeps walking, and puts the note in his pocket. As he walks on, he sees the girl still attempting to communicate with the others and trips, dropping her umbrella. He drops his umbrella and goes back from the group to help the girl. He helps the girl out and the girl smiles, picks up her umbrella, and runs ahead. He smiles, and then he picks up his umbrella (now brightly colored) as he escapes the neutral colors of the others around him. It is a chain reaction from then on, and eventually everyone has umbrellas with many patterns and colors!

I never really worked out the ending much, but it ends with a car that quickly passes by and goes back to the girl with the red umbrella, walking along the road with the rest of the crowd in shades of black and grey. It was as if nothing happened. Then the girl accidentally bumps into the boy and he says "Oh, excuse me." then the girl says "I'm sorry" and the boy smiles and says "Oh that's quite alright" then they walk on. Something cute like that. (not supposed to be romantic, but it should be implied that the boy and the girl recognized each other)

Notes:

**I haven't really worked out the details on this idea, honestly it looks so much better when I picture it in my head rather than putting it out in text. Sorry if it's confusing!

**The whole film is silent, until the brief dialogue at the very end.

**Most of the people are wearing business suits, dark long coats, or anything with neutral, dark colors.

** The people should be happy near the end as the surroundings become colorful and bright, until VROOM VROOM ("I'm in me mum's car!") a big, dark/neutral colored car drives by and interrupts the scene.

Reasons Why This Idea Was Scrapped:

- I literally have no money. The world runs on money, so unless someone wants to work voluntarily for like a week to make this, that would be awesome. I'll give community service hours!!

- No time. Again, I'm a student.

- No resources. Every rehearsal would literally be "Bring your own bag" dinner.

- I don't have a good camera. We would need multiple cameras.

- Again, I have no connections. I would love some friends who would be willing to make films.

I'll probably add more to this as I get more ideas, but feel free to make any suggestions or ideas to expand this concept!
