A few years back, some of you may remember back when Wattpad was in its golden age. At least, that what I thought.
2012.
The year when followers were called fans, the format was easier to read (in my opinion), it was easier to find new and undiscovered writers, and there was that cute little messenger thingy you could use to talk to your "fans" while you were typing up your chapters in your book.
It was also the golden age for fan fiction.
More specifically, ONE DIRECTION FAN FICTION.
Needless to say, I had written a fan fiction story that was one of many that cluttered this part of Wattpad. Guilty as charged.
A year later, I grew incredibly bored writing the book past chapter 20, so I deleted that story and started A Phantom's Story. My friends told me to keep that one up, and I never really finished it. One day I will. I actually had written a composition notebook full of all the plot summaries and details in A Phantom's Story, as well as the fates of all of the characters, and the general gist of how the story would end. (Thank you SO MUCH, past me)
I had also done another composition book with my other story, Edge of Danger. Because honestly, school sucks, I get busy, and I'm going to forget all of the little details. Yes, if you were wondering, Skyfeller Academy is based off of the high school I attend now, and it sort of sucks. Well, I had been offered a huge monetary grant to cover most of the costs and tuition of my high school, so I sort of chose to go there. Whether or not it was a big mistake, I have yet to find out. No, Stella is not based off of me, contrary to popular belief.
Anyway, enough of that. That fanfiction I mentioned was titled Sterling Silver, and it was the very first book (fanfiction) I had ever written on the internet.
Sterling Silver took place back in 2012, when singer Louis Tomlinson and model Eleanor Calder were dating each other. One day, some mysterious people break into Eleanor's apartment and they start to break Eleanor's things. After a fight ensues, the intruders throw Eleanor out the broken window, and she falls 6 stories down onto the streets of London. Meanwhile, Louis had been taking a walk out in the middle of the night, and finds her body there. Louis runs back to his apartment in shock, wanting to ask many questions he knows he won't find the answer to. (NONONONO THIS IS NOT LARRY FANFICTION PLEASE KEEP READING)
Eventually, as daybreak approaches, the police come and interrogate everyone in the apartment building. However, much to the Louis and the other boys' dismay, they have indicated the cause of death to be a suicide. They announce the decision of the case on the news later that day, and also press no charges since they believe there was no one else involved.
Days pass, after the band attends the funeral, they decide to take a break and have a picnic breakfast in the local park one morning before they perform a concert. As they are eating, however, Louis decides to take another walk to clear his head. He then runs into a mysterious girl sitting on the bridge by the lake. This girl introduces herself as Sierra Sylvester, and that she was also planning to have a picnic with friends. As the two talk, they become very good friends, and Louis introduces her to the rest of the group. (As in Harry, Niall, Liam, and Zayn. Yes, Zayn hadn't left the group yet during this time lol)
The boys are then introduced to many of Sierra's friends after their concert. They include Samantha "Sam" Bradner, a girl who is very ambitious and down-to-earth, yet also a mystery of her own; Christina "Chris" Dalton, a girl who is tomboyish and can tend to be very childish and endearing; and Jasmine Galluccio, a lively girl who is a huge fan of the band and has dreams to become a Broadway star one day.
