3rd Person POV
(Y/n) has been best friends with Hajime Hinata ever since they were born. They go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly, Coffee and Donuts, and so on.
"Hinata-kun!" (Y/n) called. They had both been accepted into Hope's Peak Academy at the same time. (Y/n) as the Ultimate (Talent) and Hajime as a Reserve Course Student.
"Yes, (Y/n)?" Hajime responded.
"I have a...question."
"(Y/n)...you know I hate guessing games. Just tell me already." He looked stern.
"F-Fine. Can you...meet me by the front gates after school? I have something to tell you.."Hajime's POV
'Oh boy. I know what this means.' "(Y/n)? Can I ask what this is about?" I was nervous. They may be thinking about what I'm thinking about, but, since (Y/n) is so unpredictable, it could be anything.
"No. I mean, you can ask, but you won't get an answer~"
'T-They...They winked at me...'
~Time Skip~
I walked to the front gates. They didn't say a time... "Hajime-kun!~" There they are.
"Hey, (Y/n). What's this about?" Their cheeks suddenly turned a light shade of magenta as they took a note from behind their back.
'I knew it...'3rd Person POV
Hajime took the note from (Y/n).
"W-Well...? What do you think, Hajime...?" (Y/n) asked inquisitively. His expression suddenly darkened. "Do you think I should go?"Hajime's POV
'Ok. This isn't what I thought. At all.'
"U-Um...you're asking if you should go..." "Overseas!" They exclaimed. "The headmaster of Hope's Peak sent me a letter explaining a plan for me to go overseas to America, to complete my studies! What do you think?" They looked at me with gleaming eyes.
"...(Y/n)..." I sighed. "I think...you should do what makes you happy. And...you shouldn't ask me." They suddenly burst out a "Why?!" I turned around and stared straight into their bright (e/c) eyes. "Because!" I saw them tearing up. "I'm...I'm just an ordinary student! You're the Ultimate (talent)! And I'm from the Reserve Course for god's sake! You don't have to take an opinion from an plain student like me!" I looked back down at (Y/n) and saw the crystal clear tears flowing down their once rosy cheeks.
"H-Hajime..." They wiped their tears. "You're my best friend. I'd always ask your opinion for anything. Even if it was...a new phone case! Or, a new (clothing item) or something! No matter what, I will always respect your opinion." They suddenly looked up. "But if you can't respect the choices I make,"
"I guess we can't be together anymore..."(A/n- So...yea. I'm...I'm sorry if it's not what you wanted or it sucked. I'm planning on writing an A/n on all my stories so if you don't want to hear me drone on about who knows what, just skip ahead. Also, if I make a mistake, please correct me. So, thanks again for reading!~ ;P )
(Edit: I really didn't like the ending either, so there's more!~)
~Time skip~
It was time. Today was the day I would be flying, by myself, to America, where I'm going to study abroad for the next 3-4 years. Of course my parents were crying. They cry at everything. All of my friends said they were going to miss me, and they all shed, at least, five tears each. Now, Hajime...I really wished I didn't walk away like that. I just wished I could've told him...things. When I was meeting him, to tell him I got the letter, I knew what he was expecting. And I wish I could've told him that too. But...I'll come back to Japan soon. I'll tell him then. But, now that I think about it, he'll probably have Komaeda as his boyfriend or Chiaki as his girlfriend. I know he likes both...and neither one of them is me. So maybe I shouldn't tell him. I sighed. Well, it's almost time to board...
Hajime's POV
'Didn't (Y/n) say she was going to board the plane soon?' I got to the airport and looked for gate 17. 'Aha! Flight to America! There it is-'
"The flight to America leaves in 2 minutes. Attention all boarders, the flight to America leaves in 2 minutes."
'I need to go...' I ran to the gate and, I tried to, get on the plane.
"Do you have a boarding pass?"
"N-No! I need to go and say goodbye!"
"Well, buddy, guess you're out of luck. We won't let anyone on without a boarding pass. Besides. I don't think you'll have enough time to do anything. The plane's leaving."
"N-No...!" I fell to my knees. "(Y/n)...I'm sorry I acted like a fool. I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. And I'm sorry I didn't get to say I love you. I honestly don't deserve the name-"
"Hajime...? What are you doing here? Why are you on the ground?" (Y/n) asked.
"(Y/N)!" I got up and gave them the biggest hug I've ever given anyone. "I...I thought you left!" I could see they had tears in their eyes. I also had tears in mine.
"N-No...! I didn't leave..." They smacked me on the head. "S-Stupid..." We were both crying now.
Then, we both said at the same time, "I...have something I want to tell you."
"Y-You go first, Hajime."
"No, no...you go, (Y/n)."
"O-Ok..." They sighed and looked up at me. (Btw, in this story, you're shorter than Hajime. Sorry.) "Hajime. I'm...I'm not studying abroad." They looked down.
"W-What? No! You deserve this, there's no way you can pass this opportunity up."
"But that's just it. I can. I can go in a year. Sure I won't graduate with you guys, but we can keep in touch until I get back." They smiled.
'That's even worse...but...it's for (Y/n), so I'll stay strong.'
"Now, Hajime, what were you going to tell me...?"
They looked at me with expectant eyes.
"Ok. (F/n) (L/n)...I...I love you...will you...be my (gf/bf)...?" She started crying again. "Y-Yes! Hajime, yes! I will."
Then they kissed me.
I knew (Y/n). And they weren't the type for daring things like this.
'But...' I thought. 'I like this new (Y/n)...no. I LOVE this new (Y/n).'(A/n: OKOKOKOK THIS IS THE ENDING I WAS SEARCHING FOR. I knew the end sounded weird, and I couldn't put my finger on it, but this one sounds a lot better. So, bye!~ Thanks for putting up with my rants!)
