(Y/n) is extremely shy. She thinks the only thing she can do is care for plants. So she visits the park everyday, caring and loving for all the flowers.
When your eyes are filled with longing
are searching far away,
I feel such loneliness...And want to tell you I'm right here.
She isn't interested in relationships, money, or anything like that. She is interested in one particular person though, Sakutaro Morishige. She can't help but stare as his constant pale skin, blue-ish, combed hair, and faded expression, as he stares out the window longingly during class...he seems depressed, and (Y/n) wants to help...but she doesn't know how...
Ah! Just the two of us, in the Garden of Glass
There's no one else; we don't need anyone else.
I want to bloom softly as if I'm about to break.
Like a fragile butterfly, (Y/n) floats around, searching for the boy who's been tearing at her heart, Morishige. Sure, he had eyes for Mayu, but, "it's all in good fun..." (Y/n) thought. Soon after, he arrives. She can imagine them together, on the swing in her garden, admiring all the flowers she planted.
On our secret swing
Swinging with you now
Just gazing at each other softly
A girl who's fallen in love with love; her quiet sigh is
Lonely... contented and lonely...
Just swinging back and forth, talking and laughing about whatever their heart desires. Then, Morishige believes it's time. He starts to head in for the kiss,
And (Y/n)'s fantasy finally vanished. Dreaming about how she wishes it could've been, she sighs, and looks down at the ground, her eyes, sorrowful.
So that your heart that I wish to capture
Won't go anywhere
Please stay here with me forever
It's lonely
(Y/n) thought, and thought, and she finally came up with an idea. She headed to school the next day, determined to put her plan into action. And it worked. Morishige is coming to help (Y/n) with her garden. How she managed to do it, nobody knows.
Ah! In the maze of dreams, the glass butterflies
While tempting me, they're being tempted
I'll flap my fingers, as though they're about to break
And so, Morishige came over and helped (Y/n). They sat in the swing, watching the sunset. Wishing that they could be lovers...She wanted to ask him...she needed to ask him...but, she just couldn't do it.
Our secret romance
And even though I want to feel you
All we can do is painfully gaze at each other
The feelings I can't have
A girl who is in love with love
Why do they have to be so painful?
Morishige thinks about (Y/n) too. So when she worked up the courage to ask him, he gratefully accepted. But, he just wasn't sure if she was in love with him.
"(Y/n)-chan..."
"Y-Yes? Sakutaro-kun...?"
"When you invited me to this garden. I felt...happy. Happy for one time in my life, and I couldn't explain it...but, I can now."
"I love you, (Y/n)...will you be mine?"
(Y/n) started tearing up...he did feel the same way. But...
"Sakutaro-kun...I'm so sorry. I just...I can't. My sisters and I...we've been locked up in our house by our father. According to him, we're all his property. We're not allowed to have romantic fantasies...or anything like that...I'm just scared that he'll find out, and..."
"Shh...(Y/n)...we won't talk about your father..."
"I just...don't want to...g-get hurt again..."
(Y/n) broke down in front of Morishige.
"B-But...Sakutaro-kun, I love you...I want to be with you..."
"I want to be with you too, (Y/n)..."
"I just don't know how this is going to work...I don't want to pass this opportunity up..."
Morishige silenced (Y/n) by pressing his lips against hers.
"I guess we'll just have to keep it a secret~"
"My beloved (Y/n)-chan~"
