The golden beams of sunlight teases its surroundings as my eyes adjust to Tobias' room. I look over my shoulder to see Tobias sleeping peacefully. I can't believe he is here, I can't believe I am here.

We have survived the deadliest battles and the evolution of our society, what more can an individual ask for?

However, there is one thing preventing me from being content.

Gustavo

He is dead.

Or maybe he is faking it? Maybe he wants to escape as we found out his secret? He couldn't have died whilst on 'life long serum' right? What if the serum wasn't for him? Maybe he was making it for someone else and...My thoughts trail off until Tobias turns around to face me.
"Tris, are you okay?" He sympathetically says, he must have seen my expression, which I am guessing was full of anxiety. I look down towards the bedsheets.
"Um no..." I replied, I had to be honest- he is my boyfriend after all... He sighs,
"Gustavo?"
I shiver, even the name makes me uncomfortable.
"Yeah" I say gradually looking up to face him again. His dark brown eyes search mine and his face softens.
"Tris, we can't worry about something that has already been done, he's dead. Now, we could find the answers, but will it be worth it? I mean yes, we could for the sake of curiosity but will we save innocent lives? I don't think Gustavo's group or whatever it is can change our society into factions again, no one would be willing to change. I mean, everyone loves it." Tobias thoughtfully states.
"Tobias, they put you in a coma...and why did they do that to Will?" Why did they do that to Christina? I don't want to put anyone in anymore danger" I reply
"I understand that, Tris. But Gustavo is dead, there won't be anymore of that, and his group are all immensely genetically damaged, so I doubt they will go far" Tobias reassuringly states.
I think he's right, after all,  I sometimes dwell on the impossible and there outcomes, I guess this was one of those situations.
"Yeah, sorry I'm being unreasonable. Thank you,Tobias" I say whilst smiling.
He grins and gets out of bed and stops just before the door,
"Pancakes?"
I giggle and respond,
"Pancakes."
For now Gustavo will remain in the back of my mind, but I think I am okay with that.
