Chapter 5: Foreshadow

Mitsurirugi ran towards the demon and quickly slashed at it with each side of his blade, before stepping back silently. The demon dodged both attacks and smirked. He charged to make a multiple blow attack until he got yanked back by a familiar red chain. Ruby was behind him,her nun chunk's chains wrapped around him.

"I- I got him! What now?" Ruby semi stammered knowing they had to capture him.

"Are we killing it, or capturing it?" Yukino asked curiously.

"You guys ain't doin nothing to me" the demon growled. He noticed something and looked at Ruby,and noticed a golden lotus looking locket. "It can't be..." He uttered.Ruby defensively kept distance between them.

"Mitsu said capture..so..." She started until it seemed as though the demon's eyes were getting brighter. His leathery wings larger making the chains weaken.

"Well, knock him out before he kills you." Yukino suggested.Mitsurirugi glanced at Senshi for a second, then back to the demon. He wanted answers, so he wasn't going to kill the thing. Ruby almost hit him with the handles but the demon snatched the locket and started flying off.

"Wh-!!" She hardly spoke,caught off guard. Senshi knew he couldn't fly because of how small his wings are. But he was Determined. Psychokinetic flames appeared at his feet and glided after the demon.

"Why would he want your locket?" Mitsurirugi asked Ruby curiously, turning to look at her.

"I-i don't know...its the last thing I have from Mom before she--" Ruby explained,before hearing her heart rate increased. She lost her innocent expression and her eyes had a white symbol in each,her eye color from brown to magenta. Black markings started to faintly appear on her. She turned her head to the direction of the demon.

"R-Ruby, are you okay?" Yukino asked quickly, taking a couple steps toward the other girl. She vanished in 2 seconds. Not even 10 seconds later,the demon fell to the ground and Ruby landed with the locket in hand. Senshi landed as well,but was confused as hell. Ruby put on the locket and returned to normal,but was about to collapse for she was tired. Senshi luckily caught her in time.

"What the hell...?" Senshi questioned,confused and concerned.Aster finally spoke up.

"That was badass.." He commented. Yukino quickly smacked Aster upside the head.

"They could be hurt, you idiot." She growled before running over to Ruby. "What the hell happened up there. Are you okay, Senshi?"

"I was gonna beat him,but all of a sudden he got smacked down by this sorta light. Then Ruby was there and,well,here we are" Senshi said,trying his best to explain. He looked at Ruby who put her hand on her forehead recovering.

"Are you okay, Ruby?" Yukino asked quietly before looking up at Senshi. "Should we take her to the hospital?"

"I...I'm okay...I don't know what happened...." Ruby confirmed,now able to stand on her own. "I feel tired,though..".

"Come on, lets get you home. Where's your house?" Yukino asked nervously.

"I'm okay...Dad told me last night that I can stay in this layer,because its much safer.." Ruby explained. Senshi looked around,seeing how late it is.

"You can come to my house then." Yukino told her with a small smile. "I'll make you something to eat when we get there."

"Okay. So,everyone's going home now?" Ruby asked before saying farewell to Mitsurirugi and Aster. Yukino nodded and started leading them back to her house, where they would be safe.Once they got there,Ruby was like herself again.

"Can I still learn seduction, Yukino?" Ruby asked, as she sat on the bed. Yukino smiled a bit and nodded.

"Yup, after we eat."
