7: Learning New Things

Chapter Seven!! Yayyyy! I'm so sorry for the super later update but here it is! I hope to have another out by the end of this week :)

Natsu didn't know how to respond when a man dressed more nicely than he opened the door and greeted him. He simply gave a nod of acknowledgment and a slightly smile as he slowly made his way into the luxurious main stairwell of First Class. Admiring his surroundings and the high, arched glass skylight, Natsu found himself in awe of how these people could afford this much and yet he and his family could afford so little. The clock on the wall read 7:05 p.m. And he had to hold himself back from touching the polished surface around the wall that was carved into the shape of two angels sharing a look.

He leaned against a pole nonchalantly, looking around before spotting a well dressed couple and eyeing them head to toe. Natsu straightened, his face serious as he pressed the back side of his left hand on his lower back like the man he saw. An elderly gentleman greeted him as did the woman on his arm but Natsu focused solely on the couple he was copying, straightening his neck and raising his chin to look more proper.

The couple walked past him, followed by presumably the man's parents. His father smiled and nodded at Natsu, causing Natsu's eyebrows to lift mischievously and provide a closed mouth smile back. He continued to copy them, unaware of the group approaching him.

Jude Heartfilia and Dan Strait made their ways down the stairs, Lucille's father pestering the young man about his daughters whereabouts. Dan glanced at him and smiled before looking back again, almost in shock. His brown eyes widened and his jaw almost dropped as Jude completely ignored the boy. Dan frowned before looking past Natsu and smiling.

"There is the countess." Dan said, Natsu closing his mouth at the beginning of the greeting he had been prepared to offer, frowning almost like a child. He actually held back the impulse to stick his tongue out at the two men's backs, his hands dropping to his sides and slipping into the pockets of his jacket.

Lucille stepped next to the clock before noticing the pink haired man and smiling widely. She found herself amused by the man holding his hand behind his back and acting as though he was shaking a persons hand, his usually wild hair tame and brushed back. She began to walk down the stairs and Natsu glanced up only to take a double take and almost gape at her beauty.

The dress she wore was a deep black color with a salmon slip below, hugging her curves almost perfectly. Jewels decorated the dress, large stone around her neck and Natsu couldn't stop his jaw from falling when his eyes traveled to her face. Ruby red lips, large brown eyes and her blonde hair pulled back into a very loose twist at the base of her neck. Strands of gold hung around her face and her slim fingers covered in pearly gloves reached up to brush them from her eyes, smiling at the awestruck man.

He closed his jaw and adopted instead a sly smirk, his eyes latching with hers and staying there. Lucille's smile fell slightly at how surprised she was at all of his formality before it grew again when he greeted her at the bottom of the stairs. Her cheeks reddened when his rough hand clasped her own and brought it up, placing his soft lips against the silken fabric all while his eyes remained on the blonde before him.

Not releasing her hand, Natsu smiled slyly. "Always wanted to do that." He explained softly. "I saw it in a nickelodeon." He added, unable to hold back the smile and chuckle that came with it.

Lucille giggled softly, smiling widely as the light caught in her earrings, making her face seem aglow to the pink haired man beneath her. Natsu pulled back slightly and offered his arm to her, a knowing smile on his face as the two gazed into each other's eyes. Lucille's heart was racing and her cheeks were practically on fire, however she stepped down and accepted his arm, trying her best to contain her laughter when Natsu raised his chin high in an exaggeration of the men around them. Although she could not contain the snort followed by her smile as he lowered his chin and smiled softly at himself. Natsu led Lucille to Dan and Jude and she reached forward to tug slightly on Dan's jacket sleeve.
