Natsu and Lucy ran down a stairwell, unsure if Dan had followed them or not. They remained silent, pausing to listen and catch their breath at the bottom of the stairs. The ship was groaning and sound of screaming startled the teens.
"A child!" Lucille exclaimed and the two took off, looking for the kid. A small boy stood down by the end of the left side of the hallway, screaming for his father. There was a pair of double doors at the end, buckling slightly as water gushed through the cracks, ready to crack open at any time. Natsu looked back to Lucille as she stared at the kid.
"We can't leave him." She said, raising her eyes to meet his and he nodded, looking to the stairwell and seeing the water pouring down the steps. He grunted.
"Alright, come on!" He said, running towards the boy with Lucille on his heels. Electricity sparked from the exposed wires, the lights in the hall dimming as Natsu ran towards the boy and whisked him into his arms, looking to the door as he began to groan under the pressure. He ran back, a hand on the back of the child's head as he screamed for his father in fear, reaching the end of the hall, they were greeted with a torrent of water, exploding from the doorway and going down a hallway to the right. Natsu cursed, looking back and forth as the child sobbed against his chest.
"Go back!" Natsu yelled, referring to the stairs they had come down before. A few doorways up, a man burst through, a suit case in his hands. He spotted Natsu and ran towards him, yanking the boy from his arms and screaming at him in a language that Natsu did not recognize as he shoved him against a wall. He ran away from the teens towards the buckling doors and Natsu's eyes widened in horror.
"No! That's the wrong way!" He yelled at the man.
"Come back!" Lucille cried out, yanking her dress up in an attempt to run faster. The two ran towards the father and son, screaming at them as the doors let out a loud groan before flying open, a wave of water rushing in and throwing the man and his son to the floor. Lucille gasped in shock as Natsu pushed her, screaming at her to run in an attempt to escape the rushing water. Turning down a hallway, the water the the wall and continued to come after the, Natsu yelling again as Lucille ran as fast as she could, clinging to her skirt to hold the wet fabric above her legs. The lights flickered on and off as the deafening roar of the water came closer. Slamming into a wall, the wave knocked Lucille over and Natsu fell in an attempt to help over, an exclamation of his name leaving her lips as the water pushed them forward.
"Natsu!" Lucille screamed, the water slamming her into a wall as Natsu was flipped under the water, a loud gasp escaping his lips as he resurfaced. Letting out a pained grunt, Lucille was thrown against a gate, Natsu slamming into it a short while later, he himself letting out an exclamation of surprise. The water was shoving them into the gate painfully, Natsu letting out a yell of pain as he attempted to gain his footing. Turning around, he spotted a stair well and grunted, knowing that was their best bet to buy them time.
"Come on!" He yelled, grabbing her hand and yanking her forward, clinging to pipes to force him self through the torrent of water towards the stairwell. Lucille screamed in fear, still pulling her self forward as Natsu's fingers wrapped around the slim metal railing and he yanked her forward, shoving her with all of his strength up the stairs. She ran up as he grunted, climbing up himself and she grabbed the gate blocking their way.
