Today wasn't a typical afternoon.

Sure, the sun still shone brightly in the sky and the strawberries still were still growing, but the joy and ecstasy that filled the atmosphere of Camp Half-Blood was long gone. The campers playing with the nymphs were lazily throwing pebbles across the lake. The Apollo cabin who used to play basketball are in the infirmary tending the wounded. There was no laughter, no joking, no pranking, no chatting. The mere silence everybody shared was already enough for someone to know that there's something wrong.

It's already been a week, as you've recalled, yet nobody has moved on. Everyone felt the absence of the son of Poseidon ever since the news had spread. Percy Jackson was the only demigod that kept the camp together. He was the inspiration of every single demigod that kept them fighting monsters and finding a reason to live. Because of him, everyone wanted to be a hero, everyone wanted to do good. Everyone wanted to save the world.

But then, we all know that nothing lasts forever. But it was all so sudden, so quick that no one had the time to react. A spear was already impaled on his chest.

You remembered the rage that rose inside you. You remembered how you killed every single cyclops that tried to stop you from reaching him. You remembered the way you held him on your arms, as you cried.

It was a just an easy quest. All you had to do was find the missing stars of Artemis and go home in one piece. You and Percy were so close to home that the Fates decided to mess it up. They messed it up on the time you're about to tell him your feeling for the boy. Percy had Annabeth already, everyone knows that. But you had to move on from him eventually and the only way to do that is to let it all out.

You thought that everything was going to be all right when a few cyclops decided to have some fun. Your size was a very big advantage at the moment since it made it easier for you to pass through small openings. But then again, Percy wasn't lucky.

You sighed, throwing stones at the ocean as the memory came back for the hundredth time. You wrapped your other arm around your leg tightly and took a deep breath. You may not be handling the situation the way Percy would but Annabeth had it worse. Ever since the day you took Percy's lifeless body back to Camp Half-Blood, the said girl had never spoken. The last time she spoke was when she spoke her eulogy for Percy. And that's it. She never made another sound.

To be honest, you envy her. She was the exact person you wanted to be because she was perfect. She had it all. She was even the last thought on Percy's mind before his body went limp.

"Tell Annabeth that I love her," he had said before he finally closed his eyes, leaving you to whisper a very soft "I love you."

You threw another stone at the ocean in rage. You knew that you could've done something to save him. You you knew that you could've been there on time. But you weren't able to.

"I'm so stupid," you mumbled, your hands throwing stones harder. "I should've done something," you added, staring at the sky.

Then that was it. The last string broke and you were ready to let loose.

"Why!?" you yelled loudly, standing up. You felt the sand get into your sandals. "Why did he had to die?"

You glared at the sky, expecting some answers from the gods. As usual, there was nothing. When was the last time they ever answered your questions anyway?

"It should've been me who died!" you screamed out, the wind blowin harder as you screamed. "You should've spared him! Look at the camp! Look at your children! You killed the one that served as a leader to them. You killed the one who kept them from wanting to kill themselves for the lives you've given them!"

You wiped your tears, your knees falling to the ground. "All you are are selfish beings who care nothing but yourselves!"

You sobbed. "Percy," you croaked out. "Please, I need you! I love you and I should've told you before you died. And now I'm stuck here in this miserable life, regretting the things that I should've done to save you."

You stared at the ocean, you're tears flowing relentlessly. The only thing you wished now was to drown but you couldn't. You had to live for Percy sacrificed his life for you to live. You had to live for him. You couldn't let his death mean nothing.

You sighed. "I was never good enough for you," you whispered, hugging your arms tightly.

Then suddenly, felt droplets of water fell on your head. You gasped, looking up. Thunder boomed and lightning strike as more droplets fell.

You looked around with a worried look on your face. "It can't be," you murmured.

For the first time in centuries, it rained in Camp Half-Blood.

I'm going to try and publish this along with the Leo Valdez one and hopefully it will be successful. If you're reading this then it was.

Anyway, I suck at these stuffs but whatever. I tried and it was my best. If you cried, then I guess I succeeded. (Jk).

I'm sorry for the feels if you cried. I've read a lot of books that involved a lot of characters dying so I decided to try make my own scene. Trust me, I've never written stuffs like this and it's the first time so I hoped you liked this one.
