"Don't you dare just shrug it off, Jackson!"
"What do you mean I shouldn't worry about it?"
"Excuse me? If it weren't for that freaking dog of yours, you could've been dead!"
"Oh, because I'm too clingy, is that it?"
"Hades, I hate you!"
"Watch me. I could walk away from you and not look back."
"Yeah, whatever!"
"That's it, I'm definitely out of here."
"Gods, you're such an infuriating-!"
The rest of the sentence never came out. Your toes barely even touched the ground outside Cabin Three before Percy pulled you back in. He kicked the door close, the wood banging loudly against the frame but it felt like a dull sound. Everything turned red with anger the only thing you were aware of. Because how could you not be mad when he keep shrugging everything off like it was nothing?! He almost died, for the gods' sake! If Mrs. O'Leary didn't push him out of the arrow's direction, it could've pierced his heart. And you were the girlfriend. What did he think you would feel about it? Happy? Damned be the "considerate and forgiving" girlfriend you always were. It's so frustrating to know that your own partner doesn't even care about his life.
It wasn't like you did it on purpose, though, it simply happened by instinct. Your hand raised, getting ready for the impact and it moved towards his face. But before you could feel your hand sting, he grabbed your wrist and pushed you back to the wall.
"What the—?" you stuttered out but before you could finish Percy's lips were immediately pressed softly against yours. Damn, you were supposed to be mad, to feel angry at him but you just couldn't. It was absolutely frustrating yet relieving.
He pulled away after a couple of seconds, a small smirk dancing on his lips. At this moment, you were breathing hard, his own breath tickling your face. It felt a little terrifying how smooth he was at this moment. It was definitely unlike him to be too smooth and too serious at the same time. Sooner or later he should be acting like the clumsy dork he always is. You hoped it'd be sooner.
"I made you shut up, didn't you?" he teased, raising an eyebrow.
If it was possible to turn redder than the darkest shade of ketchup, your cheeks were probably burning with the same color. You looked down, the laces of your sneakers suddenly becoming interesting. It felt irritating how he could make you feel that way and leave your heart beating loud and hard on your throat with just that.
"Hey," he called, using his index finger to push your chin up. "Look at me."
[E/c] met sea green and for a moment there, it felt a little hard to look away so you didn't try anymore.
"I'm okay," he promised. "I'm alive and well and breathing with no major injuries. And sometimes, it's better to think about what's happening than what almost happened. Stress isn't good for you and so is worrying too much."
You nodded slightly. "I know, I'm sorry. I overreacted."
"You never overreact," Percy said, chuckling. "Part of it was my fault anyway. I should've reconsidered what you might feel if I die."
"Yeah, I'd be living under the sheets of my bed. So, apology accepted?
He chuckled. "Apology accepted."
"What are you waiting for then? Come here, you dork."
And with just that, he close the distance, meeting you halfway there. The kiss went slow at first. His fingers lingered on your waist and your hands ran through his hair a couple of times before it became more intense. His hands moved higher, touching the skin on your sides. The warmth of his hands felt surprisingly comfortable. Your fingers suddenly found the collar of his shirt and used it to pull him closer. Breath by breath, the kissed went longer, deeper with a strong passion you were almost afraid it'd go somewhere else.
Percy placed his hands under your thighs and pulled you up. You instantly wrapped your legs around his waist when-
The door opened followed by an, "Is everything all right here or are you—oh my gods!"
You and Percy immediately pulled away, gently putting your feet back on the ground. Standing by the doorframe was Leo Valdez, his mouth agape and eyes widened as if he saw something so horrid (which he probably did, seeing that he just walked into a heated kissing session). He regained his composure a couple of seconds later and cleared his throat.
"They're not killing each other, guys!" he announced to whomever asked him to check out the cabin. "THEY 'BOUT TO DO THE DO SO NO ONE INTERRUPT FOR THE NEXT HOUR!"
"Oh, for the love of . . . ." Percy took a deep breath and began counting.
"Run, Leo!" you told him and the guy didn't need to be told twice and took off while he got the chance.
Even if the moment got ruined, what's more amusing than watching the good old friendly Percy trying to chase the soul out of Camp Half-Blood's class clown, right? Let's just say Leo learned to knock after the experience.

Another crappy chapter from a crappy author. Honestly, though, thanks for all those encouraging and funny comments and votes. I owe you guys more than a million thanks. I feel guilty now that I gave you such a sucky chapter after being gone for months when you guys deserve a whole lot more! I wuv you guys with all my heart. But seriously, this is for alaskakbs who requested it and I'm sorry but I can't put a dedication because I'm using my phone with internet slower than a lion-turtle (are they slow tho?). Anyway, I hope you like it. I'm sorry as well for the other person who requested earlier. I'm a crappy person and I accidentally deleted the message and now I can't remember you but don't worry because I remember your request. I'm sorry but it's still in progress because, again, I'm a crappy person. But I suppose this is all you guys can read for now. Sorry and I love you, guys!
~ Sarah ♥
P.s. I'd probably rewrite this someday but idk if you guys want me to.
