A Kitten Named Furrball

Ed's POV
"You've gotta be kidding me." I muttered. Roy chuckled and kissed my head. "It's only a week." He replied. "I have to stay in the hospital for a week! I'm gonna be bored out of my mind!" I exclaimed. "Oh relax Ed. One week isn't that bad." He replied. "Can't you stay? Please?" I asked. Roy smirked. "As much as I like hearing you beg-" I cut him off by throwing a book at him. "Pervert." I muttered, my eye twitching in annoyance. "Anyways....I can't stay. But, I brought someone to keep you company." He added. I raised an eye brow in question. He walked out the room, and came back holding a golden haired kitten. It let out a small meow. "Are you crazy?! I'll get in trouble for having a cat!" I exclaimed. "Don't worry, I asked the hospital first. Now-"  He stopped as he placed the kitten on my stomach. "Take care of this little guy." The kitten hissed at Roy after being called little, making me laugh. "It seems I'm not the only one." I teased. Roy just stood there, looking at me in shock before heading out the door. "No way am I taking care of this stupid cat." I muttered. Said kitten curled into a ball on my stomach, and went to sleep. I couldn't help but pet it. The kitten purred in delight. I smiled a little and laid down and fell asleep myself.
When I woke up, the kitten was on my shoulder and sleeping. I chuckled and pet it again. "I guess your not so bad, Furrball."
