I'll Wait With You

It was a freezing cold December night. A certain short tempered state alchemist was sitting on the steps of Central Command, waiting for his younger brother, Alphonse. He was talking to Hughes about some information. The blond, unfortunately forgot to grab his red jacket before the two brother's left their dorm room earlier that day. He was freezing cold and the ports for his auto mail was bothering him. A shiver went down his spine, and he used his only flesh arm to try and form heat to keep warm. His blond hair blew with the wind and a breeze flew through Central. "Tch. What's taking Al so long?" The small boy asked himself. A familiar dark haired male happened to be walking past the blond and realized he was there. The Colonel raised a curious eye brow and walked towards him. "Ed? What are you doing here so late?" He asked. Said blond lifted his head and turned to face the Colonel. "Huh? Oh, I'm waiting for Al. He'll be back soon." Ed replied, turning back around so that his back was facing the raven haired male. He nodded and stepped towards Ed. The male sat down next to the young blond. "You seem cold." Roy stated, looking at the boy. Ed shrugged. "Nah, I'm fine." He mumbled. Roy sent Ed a questioning look. "Where's your jacket?" He asked. For a minute the two made eye contact, and silence seemed to be Ed's only reply. "I left it home." He finally explained. Roy nodded. "Well, take my coat then." He suggested softly, a caring tone slipping into his voice. Ed looked at him. "Wha-What...?! N-No way! You need warmth too!" The blond exclaimed, a small blush tinting his cheeks. "But you need it more than me." He argued. "No I don't! Al will be here soon!" He replied. "Okay. Then since Alphonse will be here soon-" He stopped his sentence as he stood up, pulling one arm out of his coat. Roy moved closer to Ed, and wrapped him up in his coat, before hugging him close. "Mu-Mustang.....?" The boy trailed off. "Since Alphonse will be here soon, I'll wait with you."
