A Not So Normal Family

"Mommy, mommy! Daddy's gonna burn the house!" A five year old little girl cried, as Edward stepped through the door. Ed chuckled softly, and patted his adopted daughter on the head. "Don't worry Nina, sweetie. I'll stop him from burning the house." The blonde replied. The sandy haired girl nodded in reply. He walked into the kitchen, where he found Roy trying to cook. "I'm home Ro- WHAT THE HELL?!" Ed's statement had been cut short, once he saw a small fire in the pan. He had thought that Nina had been just over thinking the sight, but at this point, Roy would definitely burn the house down at this point. The blonde ran over to his dark haired lover, and hurriedly tried to put out the flames. "HOW THE HELL ARE YOU THIS BAD WITH FIRE?! ITS THE TYPE OF ALCHEMY YOU USE!" Edward yelled furiously. Roy looked at the blonde. "I was trying to use my flames to heat up the pot!" Roy replied, trying to defend himself. Ed finally put out the flames. And glared at the raven headed man. "You're an idiot sometimes." He sighed. Roy just chuckled, and kissed Ed's cheek. "Welcome back. How was the trip?" He asked, making Ed send him the death glare. Roy just chuckle. "Useless as usual." He growled. Roy had given Ed a mission, and it was really just to stop a bunch of guys from stealing notes on some alchemy. Roy was going to say something, when their four year old son came running down stairs, towards Edward. "Mommy's home, Mommy's home!" He cheered, in that cute little voice of his, that always made Ed melt. He just smiled, and bent towards the ground, for Maes to hug him. Roy smiled softly as he watched the boy leap into Ed's arms, and he watched as Ed hugged the child close to him. Nina walked over, and looked at Roy. "Daddy?" She asked. Roy looked at her. "What's wrong pumpkin?" He replied softly. She walked over to him, clinging to his pant leg. "Is the house okay now?" She asked. Roy just smiled, and nodded as he picked her up. "Yeah. It's okay now." He replied. Nina nodded, and wrapped her arms around her father's face, and giggled softly, as she hugged him. Roy couldn't help but just grin. He loved his family. And he'd do anything to protect them.
