My breathing becomes ragged and I begin to lose all energy as they continue to chase after me. Willing my feet to move quicker; I pick up pace as I turn a corner. My legs become weak, and I feel like I will go at any given moment. Yet, I still continue to Sprint down the streets; dodging several different people.
Suddenly, my right foot clashes with a fallen brick from the building beside me; causing me to lose my footing and land face first onto the cold concrete floor.
Fresh blood oozes from my forehead; slowly making it's way down my face. Throbbing painfully, my head begins to spin.
Grabbing my head with my hands, attempting to ease the pain, I go to stand up; immediately falling back to the floor when I feel a shooting pain in my right leg.
"Ahhh", I groan, in utter pain. I once again try to stand up, lifting my left leg up first this time. But my efforts are useless. I can't do it. I just can't.
It hurts. Alot.
The sound of dozens of feet loudly slamming against the ground gain my undivided attention. I whip my head around to find a large crowd of people, armed with dangerous weapons, running quickly towards me. The mob of unknown people start to get closer and closer; getting more and more furious with every step they take.
What had I ever done to them?
I curl away into a ball; backing away into the brick wall. The sound of footsteps are much louder now; fast approaching my scared self.
I bury my face into the small gap between ny knees; hoping that I'll open my eyes and they'll all be gone.
But it doesn't work. This is happening. And I can't stop it.Suddenly, there is Silence.
No screaming. No footsteps. No noise. No anything.
I quickly, but cautiously, lift my head up, to view my surroundings. As my eyes flutter open, I come face to face with many, many, many people,(extremely angry looking, May I add); surrounding me, leaving me with absolutely no room for escape.
They circle around me, while at the same time; closing in on me with their fearful weapons. An unwavering sense of fright takes over me; sweat trickling down my face, as they show no signs of stopping. The weapons near my body; barely touching my skin.
I close my eyes firmly, hoping that this isn't real. That this isn't reality.
"Mom", I let out a small whimper; fresh tears violently rolling down my blood stained face.
"Sweetie", I hear the sound of an angelic voice.
I block out the crowd of people, as I continue to listen for that beautiful voice.
"Mom", I cry out
"Sweetie" she replies.
"Mom, help me", I beg.
"Sweetheart, wake up."
"Help me Mom!"
"Natasha, baby, wake up!"
"Help me Mom!", I scream.
"Doctor, help! Sweetie, wake up!"
"Natasha, sweetheart, wake up!", the voices continue to scream.
"Help me Mom", I say again, but it comes out as barely a whisper.
"Baby please! Wake up!", I can hear the desperate cries.
Darkness begins to surround me, and before I know it, I feel myself being sucked into a never-ending vortex of it.
"Help me Mom", I mutter, one last time; before all is black.
