come from the heart:
from a soul at peace with
itself (and the world);
from a mind open yet guarded
all at once.

of words - thoughts - ideas
are pure. some days i feel
as though they are
all clustered up within me,
a mess of dirty could-have-beens,
hopes, disappointments, and
i-can't-waits.
other days,
i'll let my mind free;
and wisps of words
fly out in joy,
and i'll breathe them into the air
and hope they touch
infinity.
