Everything has changed

Chapter 1

Maya's P.O.V

First day of school, fun, I'm the new kid in a new town I have no friends and I have no freaking clue where I am supposed to go.

I'm literally just wandering the halls trying to find my classroom which is no where in sight. 

I think I am just going in a giant circle because I keep walking past this group of girls which are now staring and laughing at me every time I go past them.

I have no idea where I'm going and I am definitely not asking anyone for help. I just need to keep walking and find it myself but then i felt someones hand on my shoulder "excuse me miss"

I turned around to see a boy with light brown hair and green eyes "are you lost?" he asked keeping his hand on my shoulder

"um no im f-fine I don't need your help" I pushed his hand off my shoulder and looked down.

"it looks like you are lost if you just show me your timetable I will point you to your classroom and I will get out of your hair" I sighed and handed him my time table

"oh look at that we have the same classes for the first half of the day, you can stick with me I'm Lucas Friar" he held out his hand for me to shake and I grabbed his hand and shook it "I'm Maya"

He smiled "okay Maya lets get to class" we walked down the hall to our classroom and went inside, the classroom was empty except us and a girl who was standing by the window.

Lucas and I stood behind two desks in the back row when a girl with long brown hair and brown eyes came over and pushed me away from Lucas.

"Who do you think you are coming into my school and being a flirty little whore" she yelled while pushing me slowly towards the wall

"Excuse m-me" I stuttered in fear of what this girl might do 

"you came to my school and you are already all over Lucas here" she put her hands on my shoulders and shoved me back against the wall with great force

"Riley what are you doing get off of her" Lucas yelled from behind Riley 

"Why should I?" she smiled as she moved her hands to my throat 

"You're hurting her now get off" he screamed as he ripped her off of me and pulled her out of the classroom.

I fell to the floor unable to breath when the room started spinning and everything went black.

Lucas's P.O.V

I pulled Riley outside the classroom "what the hell was that stunt you just pulled I know you are just trying to fit in but this isn't you Riley, the Riley I know would never try to strangle someone she isn't that stupid" I yelled.

Riley paced back and forth in front of me before holding her head and answering me "that was the old Riley I'm different now you don't know me at all and you never will why do people think they know me no one knows me" she screamed tears running down her face before turning and running into the girls bathroom.

I ran back into the classroom to find Maya laying on the floor 

"Maya wake up please wake up" I ran to her side and picked her up and ran her to the nurse's office. "Your gonna be okay Maya you hear your gonna be okay now wake up".
