Chapter 3

Riley's P.O.V

"Wow you really did that to her!?" Luke looked so surprised.

"Yeah I did, I bet now that you know I tried to strangle someone you won't talk to me again." I felt ashamed and looked at the ground.

"No, don't tell anyone but I find it cool you had the balls to strangle someone in public!" he whispered in my ear and gave me chills.

"Why do you think it is cool?" I said as the nurse was bandaging my hand.

"I find it cool that you are a gorgeous girl that doesn't take shit from anyone." He looked at his lap and blushed.

"Th-thanks" I stuttered and blushed.

"Okay sweetie your hand is all bandaged up just be careful with it have a good day." The lady smiled and opened the door for us.

"Wanna ditch with me?" Luke asked out of the blue.

"What?" I looked at him in confusion as we got to my locker.

"Want to ditch school with me and do something fun?" He said leaning up against the locker beside mine.

"Sure where do you want to go pretty boy" I said as I put my backpack into the locker and slammed it shut.

"Let's go cause some trouble round the town." He said with an evil grin on his face.

"Sounds fun lets go" We walked out of the school and left.

Maya's P.O.V

I woke up to bright lights and the sound of a machine beeping.

I guess I'm in the hospital, I looked around the room until I saw Lucas pacing at the end of the bed.

He had a really worried look on his face and he looked over to me and saw I was awake.

"Maya oh my god you're awake thank goodness." He ran to my side and gave me a hug and then pressed a button which called a doctor to come in.

"How long was I as-"I was cut off by the doctor coming through the door.

"Ahhh Ms Hart you are awake that is a good sign. I am Dr Shephard how are you feeling?" He came over to the bed and picked up my chart.

"M-my throat hurts." I said extremely softly that I wasn't sure if he heard me.

"Well that is to be expected, we will have to keep you for a couple of hours for observation. When you were strangled it compressed your airway and interfered with the blood flow to your brain causing you to pass out." He said and continued staring at the chart.

"Will she be okay?" Lucas asked with a very concerned look on his face.

"Yes she will but we need to just make sure that no damage was caused due to the force that was put on her neck. Miss Hart if you need anything just let one of the nurse's know okay." I nodded and he walked out.

"Are you sure you are okay Maya?" He said very seriously grabbing my hand and sitting on the bed next to me.

"Yes I'm fine I guess." I said raising myself so I was face to face with him until our faces were only inches apart.

"That's good." He said moving closer to me until our faces were incredibly close.

With Lucas this close it felt like I had butterflies rampaging in my stomach.

We both leaned in and our lips connected causing me to melt at his touch.
