Chapter 7

Riley's P.O.V

I woke up in a ball with a blanket wrapped around me.

Where did this blanket come from?

Oh maybe dad put it on me so I wouldn't freeze to death...

I got up and knocked on the window hoping someone would hear it.

I saw my bedroom door open and Auggie came in, he walked over to the window and opened it. "Don't tell Dad I let you in," he whispered and ran back out of my room and shut the door.

I got some clothes from my drawers and went to the bathroom, as I opened the bathroom door I heard footsteps behind me.

I turned around and Dad was walking towards his bedroom, "Thank you for the blanket." I said quietly not sure if he heard.

"What blanket?" I looked at him with a confused expression. "Someone gave me a blanket last night..." He looked at me and smirked. "Do you really think I would have given you a blanket, I was going to let you freeze but apparently someone didn't want that," he said and walked away.

Who gave me the blanket then?

Auggie would have been too scared to get me a blanket with dad in the state he was in.

I shut the bathroom door, got undressed and got into the shower.

I stood in the shower for ages trying to figure out who would have given me the blanket but I couldn't think of anyone.

Nobody cares about me, so who would have helped me?

The only person who helped me when dad was like this was mum but anyways...

I got out of the shower, got dressed and went to school.

Maya's P.O.V

I walked in the front door of school and everyone just stared at me.

Why is everyone staring at me?

Do I have something on my face?

I quickly walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.

There's nothing on my face why are they all staring at me then?

I heard someone open the door to the bathroom and I ran into one of the cubicles and shut the door.

The footsteps got louder and louder until the person was standing at the mirror across from the toilet cubicle I was in.

"Ahhh what am I doing? Why am I trying to look for her? I don't care about her anymore." She said just loud enough for me to hear.

Nooo Noooo not now...

My nose started to get tingly and I needed to sneeze.

ACHOOO!

"Oh my gosh I didn't know anyone else was in here, bless you." She said and went to walk out.

"Thankyou." I said but then quickly covered my mouth.

"Wait a minute Maya is that you?" she said sounding really angry, I stayed silent hoping she would leave.

She walked up to the door and kicked it opened, "What are you doing?" she screamed and I moved backwards beside the toilet.

She moved forward and grabbed my hair and pulled me forward.

I squealed in pain, she looked me up and down and then pulled me closer and kissed me.

What the hell is she doing?

Why is she doing this?

Why am I not pulling away?

Why am I getting butterflies?

She pulled away and smiled, but then her smile turned into a frown and she punched me once in the face and then in the stomach and left me lying on the floor.

I watched her walk away and when she was gone I got up and followed her.

I opened the bathroom door and saw her turn a corner, a girl ran up to me, "Oh my god are you okay?! You're bleeding!" She said and tried to touch my eye, "I'm fine please leave me alone." I said and ran off following Riley.

She went into an empty corridor and slid down the wall.

"Woah," she said with a smile on her face, all of a sudden her smile tuned into a look of worry, "What have I done?"
